The scent is so delightfully old school, the bowl contains the tallow soap which is so awesome, it gives such magnificent lather, and it’s so skin friendly. The Lubriderm moisturizer works so well as a balm because it’s unscented as well as very soothing. Finally the Tabac aftershave and cologne had me smelling great. Two passes and touch ups with the Auto Strop A2 razor and the modifid Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. Friday 9th May Whityle 20T + Gillette Silver Blue halved #1 - RazoRock Plissoft + Tabac Stick + Williams Aqua Velva AS + Aloe Vera Gel Received the razor yesterday from AliExpress and was originally disappointed. The blade loading was very fiddly and the bottom blade wasn't lying true. I tried the Euromax ½ blades. So I tried again with a snapped GSB and it was originally similar to the Euromax. After numerous tries, I discovered that careful alignment is needed. The shave saved the day. I'm surprisingly shocked and rather pleased. It was silky smooth and effortless. An got an excellent close result, with no response to the post alum or aftershave. A definite keeper.

Saturday morning’s Nuclear Grand Freeze: Hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Wilkinson day 4 Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Noble Otter Northern Elixir AS Splash Stirling Baker Street EdT Mama mia, any colder than this and I think my face would have disintegrated. This Glacial Electric Sheep packs a LETHAL menthol sensation that jumps on you as soon as you start lathering up and each stroke of the razor seems to make it feel colder. The Stoffel balm is also plenty cold, its peppermint scent is so nice, and it gives so much moisturizing as well as soothing. The Northern Elixir aftershave is another menthol atom bomb - heaven help anyone who can’t handle it. Finally the lovely Baker Street fragrance which I received a few years ago and I’m all set to relax here at home on a rainy day. Three passes gave me a mighty fine fun filled BBS shave!
