The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #446 Boar/Badger Mix Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ming Shi Adjustable Razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This Plissoft synthetic is a great brush - as a rule I use it to lather creams but it works very well with soaps also. The Tabac bath soap feels like washing with a block of moisturizer, it has the lovely Tabac fragrance, and it leaves me squeaky clean. The lather from the Tabac shaving soap is not only thicker than hell it’s so slick, and it’s so loaded with postshave care. The Lubriderm moisturizer gives lots of soothing and because it’s unscented it doesn’t interfere with the Tabac aftershave and cologne - do I ever smell awesome. Three passes did me proud with a fantastic BBS shave that I enjoyed to the max!

Usual Hot Water Prep
Soap = Tabac
Brush = Omega Pura Setola 11137
Bowl = White Plastic
Razor = Gillette No 15 set
Blade = Gillette 7 o’clock sharp edge (2)
Passes = 2 ++
Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal,
ASL = Tabac Aftershave balm
Scent = Tabac ASL

The sharp edge did the job well enough, but felt this was a bit tugging towards the end, so it sealed its fate to the One Blade blade bin. Another fine damage free shave. Skipping the odd day here and there which helps a lot

Since I found out that this soap and aftershave as well as the Sharp Dressed Man are no longer available I have to ration them because once I finish them they’re gone and it’s such a pity - the scent of this stuff is so beautiful, the lather is sumptuous, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the postshave care is fantastic. The Stoffel balm is extremely moisturizing as well as soothing, it’s another menthol atom bomb, and the Glacial Frozen Tuxedo aftershave is lethally cold - its scent is a delight. Finally the Cool Water fragrance somehow pairs nicely with the scent of this soap and aftershave. Another three pass work of art of a BBS shave - what a pleasure it was!
