I think that the Indian Astra SP is similar enough to the Russian one that it's largely a wash.
I do find that ASP doesn't perform the same in all razors - they don't seem to be sharp enough for milder Gillettes.

I am yet to find a blade that doesn't work in a Progress or Variant.

Face Lather.
Lather: La Barbiera Summer Fruit Shaving Soap.
Blade: Gillette Wilkinson Sword. (D2)
Razor: Parker 92R.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, /Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Aloe Vera Gel./ P&G Old Spice Bearglove ASL Spray.

Sunday morning Father's day shave,

The La Barbiera shaving soap provided a wonderful slick protective lather in a short space of time leaving a great post shave feel.

A close comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few generous squirts of P&G Old Spice Bearglove ASL Spray.

My face is feeling smooth, & smelling divine.

Except I forgot to add the glycerine to the Derby shave soap but it produced a wonderful lather anyway. So I conclude the Hydromagic and Personna used on Friday 13th were not up to par

Will ditch that blade and try again another day

The Arko Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #47 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Jr. Bar Lather Catcher Razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Lilac Vegetal After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My Father’s Day shave:

Warm shower

What a Grand Freeze this was - not only does this Peppermint Lime soap lather like there’s no tomorrow, it has a POWERFUL menthol sensation that compares to any of the Stirling Glacials and the scent is so delightfully refreshing - it’s more to the lime but the peppermint is still detectable. It also gives a great postshave feeling which is very typical of Fernando’s soaps. The Stoffel balm is another menthol atom bomb with a straight peppermint scent that I love and it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing. The Peppermint Lime aftershave smells as beautiful as the soap and it never stings or burns because it’s witch hazel based - it’s chock full of frigid menthol. Finally the lovely Eau Sauvage fragrance and that’s it that’s all. We’re going to visit my Dad and Mom at the cemetery so I can say a couple of prayers for them and then we’ll spend the afternoon at my in-laws’ house. The new 7 AM blade ensured a perfect three pass BBS shave that I enjoyed so much.
