    The La Barbiera shaving soap provided a wonderful slick protective lather in a short space of time leaving a great post shave feel.

    A close comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

  8. Sunday 15 Jun 2025

    Same hardware and software as Yesterday for another great shave

    Except I forgot to add the glycerine to the Derby shave soap but it produced a wonderful lather anyway. So I conclude the Hydromagic and Personna used on Friday 13th were not up to par

    Will ditch that blade and try again another day

    Have super Sunday
  9. Great shave Joe, a few little mishaps but it turned out fine

  11. i like using my injectors for a change.i do notice that they don't shave as close as my DE.now that is subjective and others will dissagree with my opinion,but i don't use them enough.they remind me too much of carts..;):eatdrink047:

  15. Monday 16 Jun 2025

    1 Days growth

    Hot Water Prep and Preshave = Derby Menthol shave cream
    Soap = Fine Latigo
    Brush = Pura Setola
    Bowl = White Plastic
    Razor = No 66
    Blade = Gillette 7 o’clock Sharp Edge (3), starting to drag: into the Blade Bin
    Passes = 2 and done
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal
    ASL = Fine Latigo
    Scent = English Leather Cologne Splash

    Superb lather from Fine: 30 swirls on the puck, 5 cc water, twice as much as needed, I will know next time to be more economical. Boy this stuff lathers up easily, nice and slick.

    Fine shave indeed. No blood, alum was a bit warm but that is to be expected

    Hope your Monday shaves go as well or better
  16. Awesome indeed Gary :)

  17. Hmm, funny you said that, I initially thought the SE were the business, and may still change my mind later, but after my last few shaves with the No 66, that would be hard to beat.

    Maybe I just haven't found the ideal SE for me yet. Toying with the idea of trying a more modern one, but it would have to be really good to beat my No 66 or my Rockets/Red Tip etc

    Strange that

  18. :) yep, not that flexible yet, maybe someday :)
    Liking my #66 more and more. It could make me lazy/complacent and then I would pay the price :(

    Thanks Gary

    Very elegant
    keep 'em coming Gary,
