Broke out the "soap destroyer" @clint64
It's about the only brush I own,
that'll make a dent in this "rock" masquerading as a soap.
The AdP is perfect for warmer weather.

    Evening shave, late post.
The Rooney is a gorgeous brush.
Not a big fan of the lettering---most shavers aren't. Prices are much lower for this style of Rooney.
    The knot is terrific.

No inkling of a donut hole.
This 3017 rivals my MdC challenge.
I am also not shaving daily, unfortunately, so who knows how long this'll take?

I am in it for the long haul.
    Happy Father's Day.

I've been MIA for a while, I was in Phuket enjoying the surf and seafood. Phuket is tropical and tropical means mosquitoes which means it is Arko stick time. Arko and great shave and bug repellent all in one. Making up my travel kit was a bronze Karve and a Rudy Vey brush in bog oak with a Shavemac DO1 flat top.
    p - 1.jpeg

First shave back I was had a lot to do so I needed a quick shave and I was suffering from the red eye flight home so I went with my Joris DE. Back to work on the 3017 Awesome Sauce with a Zenith boar. The Tom Ford spray was a gift from the Tom Ford botique in Phuket.

Back into the groove after vacation, so back to shaving with straights. This stainless steel Friodur is an odd one, 8/8 but it is also longer than the standard straight. She takes and holds a wonderful edge though, always delivering an excellent shave. One of my finest brushes also hailing from Germany, a Thäter. Awesome Sauce is going down slowly.

    p - 2.jpeg

Two for one photo, an 8/8 full hollow Grim Butcher and 7/8 Koraat with a splash finish. Fine razors both of them. These brushes represent my favorite handle style, one from our own Jason @jtspartan and a Brad Sears. Creed for the win in this muggy weather.

Friday means get ready early as it is the one day I go to work. This Simpson PL8 is big girl but she is the smallest of my 3 Polo brushes. Joris loaded with a Super Iridium for the win. Givenchy Gentleman was winning recommendation. The Awesome Sauce is slowly dissapearing but it still has a long way to go.

Saturday variety shave: A warm muggy day calls for Poraso in the tube, always works like a charm for me. My bedasseled Ed Brice has a fantastic edge making shaving a joy. Some how the Thäter ebonite brush evaded being included in the picture. Sporting my high beat Grand Seiko today, the dial does not show up in this picture but it is stunning in the sun light. Guerlain Vetiver is favorite of mine among the woody perfumes.

    I'm baaaaaaack.
    Phew, I needed a shave.
Dr. Mrs. Primo wants me to grow a beard.
I shaved an outline of a very trimmed beard, running along the jaw line.
    Still mucho territory to shave.
Finished with an over-spray of some 2016 Invictus Aqua.
    Sweet stank!

It has been a busy week, time to catch up:
Monday kicked off with my Cobra Classic as I had an early meeting at the office, something I have not had in a long time. Feeling the heat so Eau Sauvage, one of my summer favorites. Tuesday was important day so I went with my 8/8 Dovo straight, it looks so cool I feel important using it. More summer stank goodness with AdP Colonia.
    p - 3.jpeg

Date night so I went my best steel, a 7/8 Riga Razor and heavy dose of Jicky.
    p - 1.jpeg

Post date night, now I remember why I should not drink good Tequila, it leads to over consumption. Once I became functional I had a lot of growth but not the steadiness need for a straight so I went with my 2011 R41, fortunately now blood. The Awesome Sauce is awesome. I will definitely replace this one.

Back from our "Glamping" trip and Primo needed a shave.
Nothing takes down the stubble like the 2011 Mühle R41 and a fresh Wizamet Iridium Super.
Finished with one of my favorite barbershop scents, the Lalique Pour Homme Lion.

Sunday variety shave: I was feeling to lazy strop but want a straight razor shave. The Tadulus shavette is by far my favorite shavette, I even stopped using my Feather DX. A fancy Thäter brush and AoS cream made for a wonderful shave. The original Moon Watch got the call today, this is the hesalite version, just in case NASA needs me today.

You need a bigger brush if you want the donut of death to appear.

Happy 4th of July to my USA friends!

This week the donut of death has made an appearance.
    p - 1.jpeg

From left to right: My Joe Edson prison shank razor, a brush I can't remember the name of other than it came from Europe, A new addition to the stank collection, a vintage tester of Pierre Cardin Pour Monsieur. Joris loaded with a feather for a quick shave, a Rooney brush and the infamous Musk Koublaï Khan. For the watch afficianados, that is a Grand Seiko Spring drive with the winter dial.
    p - 2.jpeg

TGIF, an 8/8 Wacker Hunstman was the steel of choice, love the look, love the edge. Vintage Brut, wonderful juice. One of several great brushes from Jason @jtspartan. I thought I may have to do a quick dive down the Mariana Trench, or did I just want the excercise. That monster watch is Helberg with a domed crystal and rated to a depth that no human could survive.

At this rate, it'll be fall ere I finish this soap.
    Oh well, c'est la vie.
At least it's a terrific soap.
Was gifted this small bottle of
Kouros Cologne Sport a while back.
Interesting flanker to the stank of all stanks.

    Weekend variety shaves.

On the left is my Saturday shave. A date night so AoS cream, this stuff is top notch in smell and peformance. An elk antler brush and a big fancy Revisor razor to give that macho but classy felling all topped of with Creed GIT. Sunday was subdued but another great cream, Proraso. Joris razor with a Feather blade topped off with another Creed product.

Taking a photo of the same soap every shave is yawn.
Until further notice, the 3017 is still in progress.
No doughnut hole, despite a huge
    brush.
Gotta break out and stick with the soap destroyer.
