I used this shaving cream today for the first time and I was amazed.

Easy to build the lather, razor cut/glide was good and afterwards my face felt great. The scent was not (repeat: was not) comparable to roses, almonds, limes or any other of the well liked scents; however, I did not find it objectionable. My priority is performance and skin care first, smell is second. BTW, I purchased it at www.smallflower.com.

Here is a different image of it taken form the Nivea website.

    Great job man!!! :transport024

    Generally,

I have a sensitive skin that the slightest degree of irritation causes it to become all-red... Nivea is the best!!!! You may also want to try the Nivea Aftershave, for sensitive skin, the one with the WHITE and NOT the Blue packet!!!!

I think Nivea has one of the most wonderful lathers and skincare, but I don't care very much for the scent.

  4. hmm. maybe i'll have to check that out. it almost seems like the nivea stuff would be findable in a good brick and mortar store.

Not too likely, presuming you're in the US, as the Nivea shaving cream is made in either Germany or India.

The US mass marketed shaving products are non-lathering for the most part, being led by Gillette et al

JoAnna, just a small reminder, the Nivea from India is produced from a German formula. :)

Yes, Jeff, but it's still made in India. :)

For sure, JoAnna. An Indian friend of mine confirmed it for me! :)

    I'll check into that cream.

Why is the Nivea Sensitive $20 at Smallflower? For 100ml, isn't that $20 for 3.4 ounces? Walmart and RiteAid sell it for about $6? Is there something about Smallflower's version that is different?

In Montreal, Nivea is sold as rebranded Florena, and I somehow prefer the Florena. The price is around 3,75-3,90$ CDN, which is very reasonable.

    Nivea Seekers,

In addition to the sources that have been mentioned so far for Nivea shave cream , those of you who live near an Indian market might want to check it out. Several Indian markets/groceries in my area (Raleigh/Durham in North Carolina) carry Nivea, as well as Godrej, and the prices are great.

    Happy hunting, Larry

I ran to every Indian market in my area, and they all just looked at me like I was crazy. :ashamed001

Oh well, should be used to that look by now, right?

JoAnna, they looked at me like I was crazy too. We have all this incredible food for sale and you're here to buy shaving cream.

    Cheers, Larry
