Blade samplers haven't been around that long. I never bought a sampler. They weren't out there then. And I wouldn't have bought one if they were. <shrug>
Forgot to mention the variety of blades available was not as large a few years ago either. Not that they weren't being manufactured, but there were fewer vendors and few carried the selection of blades the world has to offer. There were; Derbys Personnas Feathers IPs Merkurs (if they count) I'm forgetting one or two I think. But those were what you could get for the most part (in the US).
bAHHHH To many choices... The wally world blades work fine for me.. just cause there are more to choose from does not make them better The SE is still the simplest way to get a great shave... and the face hoe looks cool. but YMMV as with all things. Fuzzy
I use a DE,SE,and Str8t all give wonderful shaves and I have fun shaving with each one and that's whats important ....now to get me a lather catcher:drool :happy102
I never bought a sampler either. I just bought some cheap ones from CVS that felt like they ate my face, ordered a box of Derbys, thew out the CVS blades. When the Derbys started to run low, I bought the Sharks. I like them more anyway. Still waiting on my Str8s to get here.
