I have quite a collection of fine Gillette vintage razors and I love them all. They all give great shaves over all for me. Meeting criteria that I will list below the Gillette I would choose may surprise some. For my skin type and a comfortable shave every time I shave it would the Gillette Tech 3 piece razors. My criteria, * 1. The cost of the razor being very inexpensive so that anyone could afford one in great shape. * 2. Easy to take care of maintain and clean. * 3. Solid fit and finish and build quality that will last several lifetimes if taken care of. * 4. Will last a long long time if not taken care of. * 5 . Will give great shaves over all to most anyone and most all skin types. The Vintage 3 piece Gillette Tech razors all years and styles Pre & post war pretty much over all meet these standards for me. Anyone else agree with me? Happy Shaves To Everyone, Bill G *My 1956 B-3 Gillette Ball Tech Etched Top Cap. I do really like this one but as said I like all the different tech razors.
i have a soft spot for techs and have many,i see one that's priced right and most always try to rescue it.they cover nearly half of my current 50+ gillette collection.from many locations around the world, mostly british..great daily shavers for me,but they do take an extra pass compared to other favourites..
For me with most all razors with my beard and skin type I am a 1 pass and touch up guy maybe 2 passes. I shave every 2 days most of the time, sometimes I will go 3 days if I get lazy. This is probably one of the reasons I like the tech razors so much. It’s really cool when we save all these old Gillette razors and give them life again. You have quite a collection going on there with 50+ razors. I am right there with you. Happy Shaves, Bill G
i used to have 100+,but have downsized.just did a proper count,80 cased razor sets, them must be multiplying
Except for the painted tips which might wear off but won't affect it's usability, a Gillette red tip super speed would be my choice.
