Here was my "The Way Of Wednesday" shave: prep-Nivea 4 Men Bodywash(in shower) shave-Mike's Natural Soaps(Unscented) brush-Large Dark Blue Synthetic(I never found out the info on it). razor-Gillette SensorDeuce Pivot DisposeABLE A.S.Osage Rub Nice job overall. Mike's Unscented is a nice soap-I wonder if he has any cold ones available. A minute at the Loading Dock. I cleared off that dreaded(for me)area at the right sideburn/jawline. 2 healthy passes. Osage for the finish, and it was a good one. As Outstanding As It Gets.
Aaaaand, it's that time of the week once again-Throwback Thursday right around the corner. Here's the plan for tomorrow: prep-Nivea 4 Men Bodywash lather-El Azulado(The Wet Shving Store)* brush-Stoylin Mid-Sized Synthetic razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot DisposeABLE A.S. Aqua Velva* *1917(The El Azulado soap has the scent of Aqua Velva, but it arrived much later. I'd say it qualifies). I must say, though, that there are 3 different years used for Aqua Velva's aftershave origin(if that makes sense)-1917 when we first experienced it, 1929, and 1935 when the official aftershave bottles came out.Well, even if 1935 is the "politically correct year", it still qualifies for my Throwback Thursday regulations.
SOTD: 07/02/2025 Razor: Tatara Muramasa Titanium Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium, 1st use Brush: Trotter Handcrafts Copper Rhino Badger Bowl: CaYuen Workshop Abalone Bowl Preshave: Hwayeon Soap Co. Shaving Gel Gel Soap: BBS Soap Co. Armageddon Cream Aftershave: BBS Soap Co. Armageddon Aftershave Additional Care: Osma Alum Additional Care: Thayers Facial Toner: Rose Petal Today’s shave was with my new Tatara Muramasa Ti and BBS soaps Armageddon. It was an amazing shave! Today was my first go with my new Tatara Muramasa Ti! And wow does this razor perform for me. I used a first use Wizamet as I wanted to start with one of my top blades for this first run. I had heard the Muramasa is on the mild side so I started out on a 3 for my WTG pass. It easily and quickly made its way through my stubble. The perfect weight keeps the razor balanced perfectly towards the head begging me to ride the perfect angle. And Tatara’s handles are perfection. The golf ball dimpling just feels good and the grip is never an issue! I can’t wait for my next shave! BBS Soap’s Armageddon is based on Tom Ford’s Bitter Peach. It’s a fantastic interpretation! Sweet, boozy, and ever so slightly dark. An intoxicating mix. BBS performance is one of my favorites and I almost always go for an extra pass or two just because it’s such a pleasure to shave with. An amazing shave with amazing hardware and software! - Shared from My Shave Den for iOS Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm not joking. It doesn't smell like the real vintage Sir Irisch Moos tallow shave stick, because, the stick smells deeper and darker, and I, Rich Moose smells lighter and a bit brighter.

Thursday morning: Cool shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/7 AM day 5 PAA Cold Spices SS Lubriderm Moisturizer PAA Cold Spices AS Splash Although this was an awesome three pass BBS shave I didn’t really enjoy it as much as I would have liked to because the Cold Spices soap is so thirsty that it takes longer to get the right consistency of lather - what I do is I plunge the brush into the soap tub without shaking off any water so this way it works well. The scent of this stuff is very close to the Shulton Old Spice but the menthol, although it’s not especially strong still has kind of a negative effect on the scent. There’s lots of slickness to this soap but the postshave feeling is not as good as most of my others. The Lubriderm moisturizer helped a lot in that aspect, and the Cold Spices aftershave tried to smell like the Shulton Old Spice but then the menthol started interfering. Ah well….there’s always tomorrow! Have a great day guys and gals! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've never tried Balvenie Doublewood 17yrs old. How do you like it? My late brother in law gifted me a Balvenie 12 yr Doublewood. I'm waiting for my niece to graduate University before opening that one up in his honour. Best Wishes, Paul

It's a pricey bottle, that I don't normally buy all the time. I do like the smell and taste of sweet honey mingle with the fragrant essence of dried fruits, with hints of oak spices.
