    The Williams Mug Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #277 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Fatboy G2 Razor (7) and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Vegetal After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    2 Days growth

    Hot Water Prep and Preshave = light coating of Tabac shave stick
    Soap = Tabac
    Razor = Muhle R89
    Blade = Henckel day (2)
    Passes = 3 were needed
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal
    ASB = Tabac ASB
    ASL = Tabac ASL
    Scent = Tabac Cologne

    Full house Tabac day

    For some reason I needed 3 passes today. I think it may be due to the fact that the Muhle R89 is more of a “safe” razor and less efficient than some of my others. No matter, a great shave to start a chilly day (6C outside this morning)

    Wednesday morning:

    Cool shower
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/7 AM day 11
    Proraso Green SS
    Lubriderm Moisturizer
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Splash

    Would you guys believe me if I said that I changed my mind 5 times before I finally decided on what to use today? Anyway I grabbed the Proraso Green soap and I enjoyed it a lot - its nice eucalyptus scent along with its thick, rich, slick lather, the menthol sensation felt good but not overwhelming, and the postshave feeling was so comfortable. The Lubriderm moisturizer is so soothing, and the Aqua Velva went on with a great chilly punch. Another three pass beauty of a BBS shave - yes!!!!!!!!!

    Wishing you all a good day - be well and stay safe![IMG]

    I believe that....the kind that HURTS me in some areas. Osage provides no pain, at least, nor do the Stoylin Glacials.

    Well since I see some of the old timers I'll pop in. Like Stingraysrock I long ago abandoned the revolving shave of the day (last SOTD here was 3 years ago) in favor of just going with my clear favorite tool, the Shake Sharp Mk1 with two BIC blades, with a quick clean up pass with the PAA Prismatic.

    I have changed how I handle the razor, I find riding the cap and applying a bit of pressure works wonders and honestly Iove the razor more now than I did when I quit the collecting hobby almost five years ago.

    Cheers!

    I have the same razor and have never had that alignment issue I’ve heard so much about. Its my favorite razor and gives me the best shave ever with almost no irritation. I hold the top cap in my hand, then the baseplate over it and screw the handle down perpendicular to it. Its always aligned fine and the shave has been great every time.
