Lots of detail here, Casey, and I don't follow it all. I think you might benefit by picking the blade that works best for you and replacing it more frequently. At 20 cents per blade and changing it once or twice a week, the cost would be minimal. If I may also suggest, consider using a brush to build a truly lubricating lather. If you would be willing to try these two things for 30 days (the folks here call it a "focus"), I think you'd be pleased with the results. Everyone here stands ready to offer helpful suggestions and cheer you on. Good luck, my friend.

First, I hope everyone is doing well. Secondly, I won’t even attempt to play catchup. I am sure all of your have had some fine shaves the past week.

The family and I had a wonderful 2 + week trip to Italy and Malta. Great weather, although hot, fabulous sites including ancient ruins, beautiful churches and countrysides.

Superb shave this morning. Three passes to super smoothness. Just a heads up, the Edmund Fitzgerald will be visiting the Northern den on Saturday to claim another tub; the Declaration Grooming Nerfertiti.

Why do you say 2020 King C Gillette? I heard something about the model...Did the King C Gillette shaver change or something like that?

Hello there. The reason why I say King C Gillette 2020 was when this particular new model became available to purchase in the UK, previous to the King C Gillette, was the Gillette heritage. New Gillette Razor is Finally Out. | TheShaveDen
Hope this is of some use to you.
    Yours- Barry.

shave today was a 9.5/10 I had one cut on chin I went too aggressive for even a 1 though I was at 2 on the dial that barely left a scab and had a few hairs on moustache area ripped out (no scabs) because I forgot to keep the blade/shaver head wet. Neck was best I have done in a long while, why I went slower on the lower parts of the neck keeping the shaver head/blade wet. I did some touch up dial on 1/final cleanup on shaver. I did remember to when the shaver got full of hair in middle of shaving clean out the shaver/clean the blade.

I shaved with my Gillette Adjustable slim handle no case model that has a pressed leather Parker cover I had to modify the cover to fit as the model has a wider handle then the shavers the Parker pressed leather cover is meant for.

Used only water on the shaver head/blade, still a good shave with minimal irritation.

I think just the accidental going barely too hard on the chin area was my only mistake as my chin should be done with a 3 or 4 on a normal everyday shaving or 3--4+ for skipping a day or more so in either case, I do not go too hard/too sharp an angle, both shaving techniques being an aggressive move.

Timed myself just to see not ever looking because I wondered how long and I was about 13:05. I said I go between 10 minutes and 15 minutes usually if shaving every day including cleaning out the shaver/blade and today after some touch up/final cleanup with dial on 1.

Despite having 3.5 days of stubble, I only needed 2 bloodless passes for a very smooth and comfortable shave. The alum feedback was mainly on my neck and no where else. Ended the shave with the witch hazel and aftershave applications. I will comment on everyone's previous posts later this evening. Sorry, I have been busy over the last few days. Take care.

A very nice Throwback Thursday shave. I have to say, after using the Gillette Foamy, I felt MUCH BETTER than with the Gillette Series Gel. Why. With every Gillette Foamy I've used, there's been no hard, squeaky exit at the very end. Clean, clear shave. Zero damage. One pass. Strangely, I found the Osage Rub A.S. to be not as cold I am used to getting with it. I don't know what that is all about. But it helped provide a clean fresh ending to the shave, I'll say THAT(oh, I just did lol). Most Outstanding.

Even so the small oops on the chin not really visible unlike one of the hair rip outs in the moustache area, it was a lone thick hair that water would have helped for the biggest of the hair ripping out in moustache area but really all of it.

I have also found more recently this 2017 Personna 100 made in USA blade needs to be set in backwards from how they normally orient on the thicker logo side Personna USA needs to be on the front or the indicator of dial height side so even when bottom side is up, I need to make sure looking at the bottom. If the way most blades need to orient, something is off, and the blade ends up ripping out hairs no matter what. Today I had blade correct just forgot to keep lubrication of water on the blade shaver head for a single time on the moustache area and went too aggressive on part of the chin where it dips in rather than going up the dial from 2 to 3.
