Hey all! I stopped by to say "Hi!". Browsing thru the threads I see a few people I recognize from the good old days. I'm a dinosaur here, for those who don't know me...not an original member tho...I was a few years too late for that party! Lots has happened since my last post...I don't really shave anymore... haven't since 2018. I do clean up my face and neck a bit, using either my Parker Shavette or Autostrop loaded with a Feather SE. I still have a great collection of razors and brushes tho! I just picked up a Blue Tip today for $1! Anyways, I'll be scrolling through the threads again, reaching out where I can. Cheers!

Well, well, well. Did not expect to see your username when I looked at the posts today. Welcome back!
My Dad does cleanup with a rather nice brass model of Aristocrat in the brass not the gold plating with the red lined case he normally keeps on his dresser. He has been using that shaver since 2017 when the Twin Trac II clones died off and he went with a style of shaver he used before as a teen for a few years before the blades got hard to find right out of high school. He was using his Dorco Twin Trac II he got from the army as they used the model at the time or was that the replacement for the actual Twin Trac II that rusted in the 1990's, I forget, anyhow he has been using since then the shaver until 2017 becuse the blades are only found online now and there is only two model style for the Twin Trac II with 2--3 brands making shaver handles for the model, two models Dorco if you can find or Lord are slide on with a flex pivot, another single model clips into the shaver. My dad only uses his older fixed style Dorco Twin Trac II for travel I had been using a Safey-T-Shaver since 2017 one month after him for all but a shaving head width of sideburns, I have had sideburns since age 21 when I could drink because lots of places did not yet scan so they assumed my Id was fake until I got sideburns. I used until mid April 2025 a Micro Touch One only switching to a Gillette because my Micro Touch One became touchy unless I closed all the way up, something that became harder and harder it eventually locked up. I also got for a backup one with a much nicer model that came with the case with a little light single modification to the cover can also in the same case fit the Micro Touch One, I still keeping the Micro Touch One for plane travel though as I can get other models to replace that one should it get damaged in my main bag not with me.
Our town's "Santa Claus has a great beard for the occasion, then shaves it off for the New Year, and quits shaving around May to get ready to be Santa Claus again.
