  6. more fun and games Gary ;)

    Super shave Joe.

    Thanks so much Joe

    Lol!

Thanks Charlie and thanks for chiming in. Might get to the single pass ATG method at some stage...

@Casey 1988 do you think the short overlapping strokes are something to consider?

I will bring out one of my Adjustables in August, and see how I go, but I don't think chopping and changing the setting helps. Some areas of my beard can be cleaned up with as little as 4 strokes with a sharp blade. Other parts, generally the goatie area, need more strokes to get the same result perhaps 8,9 or 10. The trick is to use light strokes, riding the cap. Changing settings doesn't help, more frequent low-pressure strokes does the trick for me. As the blades dull down over 4 - 6 days (depending on the quality of the blade) I know it's time to sacrifice the blade when I need more strokes per area than usual, or if I start to get skin irritation, (or the occasional nick :angry017: )

    Happy days!

    Thanks Joe

Fine finale of the month Barry

  7. Thank you again Chris.
  8. A couple embarrassing misses on my Throwback shave today, but it just means I must do better tomorrrow. The areas I missed were at the northern tip of Cactus Nation(right side) and the usual culprit-right sideburn area. Otherwise, clean&clear with the Stoylin Iceberg Island sap. No damage. 2 passes. Nice finish with the Clubman Gent's Gin A.S. Course I'd like to get the highest grade for my Throwback shaves, but that wasn't the case this time. Ah well. Pretty Outstanding.

  14. My shave today was an 8.5/10 though no big deal, because the blade was new and an early King C Gillette and I forgot how sharp those blades are when new even when on dial 1 the whole time and the King C Gillete blades will be rather sharp until the blade dulls in a bit, not sure when. No real big cuts just mostly a bunch of small ones unless you count the fact I keep opening up the moustache cut, this time a bit deeper.

My shave was with a new blade one of the early King C Gillette blades I have as the paper i and as the logo on a hair thicker then the models after the ones I got after the first month only single paper unlike ones after with multiple paper cover with glue on the blade where I had to use old blade to thin out the glue, was not going to scrape off. I think I am only down to a few of these blades I once thought was a Rebranded Feather as that was at the time the only brand I knew of that glued the blades down.

I used like always my Gillette Adjustable Shaver slim handle my no case H 2, the one I can date.

If I am using a new blade this means...The new book came in King C. Gillette, the man and his wonderful shaving device https://www.amazon.com/dp/0316009377/?tag=thshde-20 and by accident was grabbing the wrong side of the 2017 Personna pack use a King C Gillette blade and after seeing the blade decided to go with it after seeing though the paper.

Already liking the book after chapter 1. The early run of King C Gillette blades from when first in Walgreens about a month into the King C Gillette brand when the blades still used a single piece of paper with the glue on the shaver, my Gillette Adjustable slim handle shaver and my book are going to be a great power trio this month or so. :sleep025:

For $9.00 USA I got a book besides the paper jacket is in very good condition.
