I got irritation on my upper lip for the 1st time last night. Been shaving daily lately, which I think is too much, and may have contributed to it. also I shaved my upper lip area too many times, and did an ATG ‘fools pass’ as well, which I’ve done before and have gotten away with, until now. Also I used a new razor just received from PAA called ‘The Filament’ and I think I may not have had the blade clamped down sufficiently as it was tugging on only the 3rd use and I ended up changing it out mid-shave. All and all I’m attributing this to carelessness and bad technique. I’ve been applying ‘Lavoskin’ and a product called ‘Clubman Pinaud- no bumps gel’ to the affected area. Would someone explain what CdM means? I’ve been researching upper lip irritation and have come across this term multiple times but have been unable to find a definition for it or figure out what it means from the context.

Seems like CdM is referring to a soccer position thats a midfield position where the player helps on defense as well as offense, so am guessing CdM is referring to the ‘fools pass’ where the upper lip is shaved ATG, not sure what the difference is between ‘the fools pass’ and CdM maybe they’re the same thing ?

 

My last lather pic was lacking, so here is a much better lather made with the Simpson Trafalgar synthetic. These brushes are much more dense than other synthetics, with more backnone and skritchy feeling that some people prefer. I like it fine, but I also like my more floppy brushes, too. Nothing beats them for travel because it dries so fast. I used up the last bit of the splash, and finished off the Noble beard butter on my goatee and hair as well. I like this beard butter because that is all it is, no carrier oils, just butters like macadamia and avocado.

The Williams Mug Shave Soap was applied with the Jayaruh #296 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette New Standard Razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Proraso Sensitive Shaving Cream.
Blade: Lord Silver Star Super Stainless. (D2)
Razor: Kanzy K100.

Another great shave to end my shaving week off on a high. The star of the shave was the Kanzy K100, the weight balance, and efficiency is excellent.
