Proraso Blue ASB
Stirling Island Man AS Splash

A not so great shave today - it was BBS but it wasn’t enjoyable because the blade was tugging quite a bit and the Wilkinson soap is crummy. Why I keep it is beyond me but it might end up in the garbage soon. The Proraso Blue balm soothed the dryness and irritation very well. Finally the gorgeous scent of the Island Man aftershave and c’est tout. A new 7 AM for my Super Speed tomorrow morning.

For today’s Saturday shave I went to my first time with my new to me Timeless Bronze and to a new set that just arrived from Greece and BBS Summer Smoothie!

I heard no thing but great things about the Timeless razors. I picked this up on a BST a few months back and never got go it until today. And boy I was missing out. I have been on a light razor kick so this bronze at first felt heavier than it actually is. That cleared up almost immediately when I felt of efficient the razor was. Just letting the weight of the razor do the work the WTG produced a DFS. An ATG and I was almost BBS. Which for me is fine but the shave was so smooth and Summer Smoothie smelled so good I went for another two leisurely passes just to extend the shave! I will be looking into a Titanium Timeless if I keep getting shaves like this!

What more can said of BBS? They have amazing scents and the performance really is at the top echelon of artisans. Summer Smoothie was a set I had seen in there site which I had my eye on for a while. Being a seasonal scent I had to wait. Well it finally arrived and it was well worth the wait! It is literally a fruit smoothie in a soap and splash. Again, like their offering Tiki, individual fruits are perceptible. And there is a cream present. I get am almost Orange Julius scent and vibe off of it and wow I can’t get enough. The splash has just a touch of cooling which is perfect! Lovely, lovely, lovely!

Razor xtg, atg, and touchup: att s1 slant oc @ feather blade (1) corked.
brush: best badger manchurian bristles, face lathered with executive man shave soap
pre: hot shower, exfoliated face, proraso preshave
post: trumper skin food followed by lather and wood balm

 

Smooth shave with the Paragon. Sometimes a near wedge is the smoothest shave around.

Lather: Nivea Men Sensitive Pro Ultra-Calming Liquid Shaving Cream.
Blade: Lord Shark Super Stainless. (D2)
Razor: Yintal 9306-I.
