    Wow - 10 years ago.

    Never got into fly fishing.
The cafeteria at Cabela's was shut down during COVID, hasn't re-opened.
Gave up the cigars years ago.

    Still taking hot showers, though!
Along with the occasional straight razor shave.

No doubt. Tight space like that really restricts the drawing tool.

There's got to be a good pun here somewhere and I hate that I can't think of it.

What would a holster know about art? ;)

Seriously, though, are you at a range that allows holstering and drawing a weapon? The ranges I've been to don't allow it.
It's frustrating because I bought a hand-made holster from Mernickle Holsters for my 1873 Single Action Army replica that I can't use.

I used to shoot in some match competition that was combat oriented (IDPA, International Defense Pistol Association), and for the most part you would begin with a holstered weapon. Safety is always paramount…..remember when drawing to keep your finger off the trigger and outside the trigger guard until you are about to fire.

Yes, in one specific part of the club’s ranges, it is allowed. I also took the class at a commercial range, where it is allowed if you have taken their class. If I had no opportunity to use it I wouldn’t have spent the money on the holster (a rather nice leather one) much less taken the class.

@BamaT safety was very much emphasized in the class I took. (Also, I have taken a gun safety class before, so keeping my finger off the trigger until I am ready to shoot has been well-drummed into my head.)

Last night was the 3rd week of a 10-week tournament at my archery club.A buddy with far more expertise than I have spent some time tuning my bow. (He’s a very nice person and quite generous with his time.). The end result was that my score was 30 points higher than last week, and I Robin-Hooded an arrow.

What kind of Shotgun are you using, Sara? :scared003:
I have to qualify at the gun range, in a little over a week, and I will try to remember to take a picture of my target. 5, 10, 15 yards. Strong Hand, weak hand, two hands, and barricade. Timed facings, all from the holster draws.

Archery, with one hand. Wow, that's pretty darn good.

I do archery and pistol shooting. I haven't tried riflery. That target was shot with a Ruger Mark IV .22 pistol. To be exact, the 75th Anniversary model. Some of the matches at the club where I shoot, are done with one-handed shooting. So that's the one I use for those.
For 2-handed shooting, I use the MarkIV Hunter which weighs about 30% more.

I will be using a Colt Government 1911 Stainless, in .45 ACP., modified for reliability. As well as a Benelli M2 12ga. Tactical Shotgun.
