Thanks for another fine post. I have a OneBlade Hybrid that's never been used. I don't remember the year I purchased it.
I have everything that came with it also unused. [IMG][IMG]

You have never used it? You have greater restraint than I. I can't remember when I bought the full kit, but tomorrow will be the 43rd time I have used the kit, I gave way the shave cream and balm after being unused in my travel bag for years and I use the leather case for my Hiram Commander SE razor and just use the stand in the kit for storage. I like the hybrid and have the core as well, but will probably sell off they hybrid and core as my shave den has gotten well out of hand.

    Thursday's Cold Water Shave

    Cold Water Rinse
    CTAPT Shaving Cream
    Alpha T-400 Silvertip Badger
    Burham Safety Razor
    Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade
    CWR
    Humphrey's Witch Hazel
    Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC

The CTAPT Shaving Cream was face-lathered well with the Alpha T-400 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Burham Safety Razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Tabac Thursday:

Long shower with Tabac bath soap
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/7 AM day 5
    Tabac SS
    Lubriderm Moisturizer
    Tabac Deodorant Spray
    Tabac AS Splash
    Tabac Cologne

Man oh man oh man do I ever love the scent of Tabac - it’s so awesome. The bath soap started the ball rolling, it’s so fragrant with that beautiful scent, it covers your body with soothing, moisturizing lather, and it leaves your skin feeling spotlessly clean as well protected against dryness. The shaving soap buried my face in thick, rich, slick, fragrant lather that was really slick, and it gave me such a comfortable postshave feeling that the Lubriderm moisturizer enhanced. Finally the Tabac deodorant spray, aftershave and cologne and I smell so wonderful. (The wife is at work so she didn’t smell me!) Another magnificent three pass BBS shave that was such a pleasure!

Wishing you all a great day - be well and stay safe![IMG]

The Lacoste was a surprising find in the back of my cupboard of wonder. If I remember, it was bought duty free in the early 90's.

    • Razor : Gillette Super Speed Y3 1953 (USA).
    • Blade : Wizamet Super Iridium Stainless (1) (Russia).
    • Brush : PAA Amber Aerolite 24mm Stygian Hybrid Synthetic. (USA)
    • Soap : DLC-Yaqi Franken Scent. (China)
    • Aftershave : Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island bay (USA)
    • Weight : 56 grams. (Razor)
    Hi all,
Another great shave tonight from the Gillette Super Speed there are more efficient and smoother razors out there.
But as far as vintage razors go there aren’t many as well known as this family of razors.
Just about anybody who has vintage Gillette’s has one of these razors whether it’s the old type or the flair tips there were so many made that they’re still available today at a reasonable price.
A real piece of history you can own and still get a decent shave with.
I won’t say anything else about today’s set up.
The show belongs to this legendary Gillette super speed.
    Cheers.

I wonder if your soap compares in some way to Imperial Shave Soap(which I just ordered). Like yours, mine has a king's crown on the label.

I wouldn't think so. The last time I came across Imperial Shave Soap it was 12-15 years ago and it was a melt and pour glycerin based soap. At that time I used melt and pour from Momma Bear and Yeti Snot but found Tallow based shave soaps more to my liking.
