Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Semogue 830.
Face Lather.
Lather: Palmolive Classic Shave Stick.
Blade: GEM coated. (D5)
Razor: GEM Featherweight. Pre-1954.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, /Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Nivea Men Replenishing PSB./ Brut Sport Style ASL.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

The vast majority of my shave set ups are very in-expensive, today proved to me yet again that I can always get pleasurable shaves from traditional wet shaving accessories that don't cost the earth.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Brut Sport Style ASL.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

The Derby Shave Cream was face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #1 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Superior Lather Catcher and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This is my last of my 7 AM blades unless I find some more here in the house - lately I’ve been getting excellent results with them. The Kudu’s Kick soap is awesome - my dear brother Jaco in Pretoria, South Africa sure knows what he’s doing. This soap is glycerine based but it’s a great latherer, I love its coffee/peppermint scent, it has a terrific menthol sensation, and it’s so skin friendly. The Gold Bond moisturizer and the Proraso Green aftershave were a perfect finishing combination. Three passes gave a most delightful BBS shave - all I can say is WOW!!!!!

Here my Shave of the Day (07.09.2025)


Razor: Design 94 // Blade: Gillette Platinum // Soap: Grön Lycka Misty Woodland // Brush: RazoRock Hive // Aftershave: Ebenholz Balm

Fantastic razor. Extremely smooth and thoroughly, but being gentle at the same time. Love this thing. The soap performed wonderful and the scent is absolutely spot on. Imagine walking through a misty Forest on a colder day and you smell the wet leaves and the damp earth combined with the trees around you.

As Aftershave i used a Balm today, which i HIGHLY recommend. It has light fruity notes which will fade out a few minutes after applying. What remains is the outstanding face feel.

A 10 out of 10

Semogue OC Finest Badger
Tuckaway New Improved 1930s 63.4 grams
Minora day 1 (and done)
English leather Cologne splash

Needed three passes today. The Minora is of an unknown age or origin, smooth but not the best match with the Tuckaway which is surprising because the OC razors generally allow me to be done after 2 passes. Lovely smooth error free shave, so no complaints. The soap is nice and hard so what I like to do is press more than I think I might need into the bottom of the shaving bowl, then there is always a “button” left at the bottom of the bowl should I need to thicken up the lather again later on in the shave. Subtle scent. The Semogue did well in holding on to the lather, giving it up only when needed. Great start to a chilly Monday.
