    Wednesday morning:

    Cool shower
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/7 AM day 4
    RVT Yuka Lyptik SS
    Gold Bond Moisturizer
Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Splash

This Yuka Lyptik is another awesome soap from River Valley Trading in Durban, South Africa and I’ve been neglecting it for too long. Its scent is very nice - it smells just like the Halls eucalyptus losanges, it’s a great latherer, the menthol sensation is strong but not overwhelming, and it gives good skincare. The Gold Bond moisturizer and the Aqua Velva were a perfect finish. The wife told me how nice I smelled - she didn’t know what aftershave I used. Another fantastic three pass BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely!

Wishing you all a good day - be well and stay safe![IMG]

    • Razor : DS-Legend AC CNC Stainless. (China)
    • Handle : Razorock Halo TI. (Canada)
    • Blade : Schick Proline. (1) (Japan)
    • Brush : FINE Stout Angle Hair Synthetic. (China)
    • Soap : TRC Tabacchi Master Soap Creations (South Africa)
    • Aftershave : 4711 Original EAU DE Cologne (Germany)
    • Weight : 80 grams. (Razor/Handle)
    Hi all,
I had a lovely shave this morning With a DS-Legend AC razor head On a Razorock halo TI handle.
This is the first time I’ve used a single edge AC razor. Until recently I thought an artist club razor was something for people that sit around and paint pictures not there’s anything wrong with that.
I found the shave smooth and efficient, and surprisingly mild nonetheless I really enjoyable shave.
I can see why so many wet shavers love the artist club razor.

The TRC Tabacchi was really good providing a thick lather with great protection and aftershave feel.
Finished off nicely with 4711 aftershave splash.

1 pass WTG 1 pass ATG with a few touch ups.
    No nicks no worries done.

    Cheers.

    Williams Wednesday's Cold Water Shave

    Cold Water Rinse
    Williams Mug Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #2 2-band Badger
    Ever-Ready 1924
    Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade
    CWR
    Humphrey's Witch Hazel
    Nivea Shave Balm

The Williams Mug Shave Soap was face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #2 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready 1924 and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Nivea Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Razor: Carbon Shaving Co. Cx-Atlas
    Blade: Gillette Minora, 1st use
Brush: Rudolf Vey Shaving Until The Fat Lady Sings…
Bowl: Captain’s Choice The Admiral Bowl
Preshave: Hwayeon Soap Co. Shaving Gel Gel
Soap: Le Père Lucien Abricot Cream
Aftershave: Le Père Lucien Abricot Aftershave
    Additional Care: Osma Alum
Additional Care: Thayers Facial Toner: Rose Petal

Today might have been the best shave I’ve ever had! Wow! The final one before my back surgery and I’m going in with a bang! I used another of my Carbon Cx’s and Le Père Lucien for the first time! It was also the first use of my new Rudy Vey brush and the first time using a Minora blade!

As I’ve said before the Carbon Cx is currently my favorite razor. This is the first time using the new to me Cx-Atlas. It might be my favorite of them all. Going in I was worried about the weight. Lifting it literally feels if I have a handle attached to a razor blade with nothing else. No head no anything. A lollipop stick attached to a blade. I should not have worried. It was, for me, perfection! Smooth, efficient quite audibly satisfying as well! My first time trying a Minora blade and it matched perfectly. I will be trying this blade in all my razors!

Le Père Lucien is one of those artisans I’ve heard about in rarified whispers! French, in fancy metal tubs - tre chic! And it’s not just the packaging and name. The scent and performance was amazing! Actual apricot scent and the lather exploded almost right away! And huge amounts of it! Great slickness and residual for days! I’m glad I had put an order in before the tariffs hit and they were able to get it out to me!

I also reached out to Rudy last week. I had seen him talking about the availability of knots due to the tariffs and wanted to get a couple more brushes from him while the getting was good. Rudy showed me a few designs. One was this shape he had made as a request of a member of a forum. I asked for some slight alterations and Rudy cane through as always! This weekend he finished them for me and sent me one of my new favorite brushes, which he aptly named, When the fat lady sings….. It has a 25mm Muhle STF Extra Dense and performs absolutely amazing! If you’ve never used an RV Shaving brush or a knot set by Rudy go do it now! The best!

What an all around shaving shave! The BEST I’ve ever had! What a way to head to surgery on Friday! Happy shaves all!
