There is also a Chinses brand making these blades only it is very thin like most of the double edge or 1/2 double edge blades, so most people do not recommend the brands blades. These are made because there is a Gem remake clone of a shaver only a closed comb that uses the same blade made in China. I forget the brand and am not sure who made both items.

Is that a vintage shaving bowl or bowl of some kind?

SRS # 1370 - “Edmund Fitzgerald” Shave - Lamplight Penance

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: AJ Jordan Old Faithful Cocolobo scales
    Brush: Classic Shaving Silver Blue
Lather: Declaration Grooming/Chatillon Lux Lamplight Penance
Aftershave: Chatillon Lux Lamplight Penance Toner
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

During the first half of this month I have been treated to some wonderful single edge shaves with the accompaniment of the DG/CL software, Lamplight Penance. Today mark the termination of this tub of soap. As with all of the DG/CL tubs of soap in the den, it provides a great lather with superb glossary to allow the blade to do it’s job.

I have been somewhat scarce the past few weeks as I have a lot of going on with my mother and other things.

    Here is the tub:

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave,

Something I've learned since becoming a traditional wet shaver is if I had used a shaving brush, shaving soap / cream method when I shaved with Cartridge razors for all those years my shaves would have been 100% better and more enjoyable as back then, shaving was something I hated having to do with a great passion.

Another close comfortable shave from the vintage Ever Ready 1912 SE vintage razor to finish my shaving week off wonderfully.

The Ever Ready SE razors are amazingly smooth & efficient, which I highly recommend every traditional wet shaver to shave with if giving the opportunity to do so.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Benjamins Mentholated Bay Rum.

My face is feeling smooth, & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

Thanks myte......The Wet Shaving Store has some good stuff. Here's something funny.....this was my first shave with their Barbershop scent, which appeared just like the Barbershop at Stoylin, kinda lumpy, like tunafish. I recall well calling Doc Ezlovan to have him explain the lumpy appearance and he simply said don't worry about it, just dive right in.I did and all was normal after that. Thanks to Doc Ezlovan's explanation, I didn't bother calling The Wet Shaving Store. :)

Wow...I'm impresseed by what appears to be a new Floid label.Great to see the wording on it, although the only things I understand are "Barcelona, 1932".Oh and also, "The Genuine".

Fine shave today-just a routine canned foam shave, but Barbasol is one of the best of those(IMO). Gave it a good shake before use. Looked like a cloud coming out of the can....the way I like it. Clean, clear shave all across. One pass. Great close with Skin-Bracer. As Outstanding As It Gets.

Today's shave is a 10/10 due to no cuts despite using dial 3 after the dial 2 did not get the skip of Tuesday so I am very close to a BBS. Today is shave 9 on the top/total with the Personna 100 pack made in USA I bought in late 2017 that I feel is going to get more shaves on each side than the original King C Gillette I used last month or the dud of exact same era the previous month.

I used as always, my H 2 Gillette Adjustable slim handle shaver without the case.

I saved today after the shower, so I did not use shave soap, but due to the skipping Wednesday I did keep the shaving head/blade wet during the whole shave.

Probably one of the better shaves today with this blade since right after the blade finally broke in and I could use up to dial 2 and I did not go past dial 2 on the first shave I needed to use it. I almost never count the very first shave with any double edge blade into the shaving experience.

I was like this ever since the original Mach III with the slide on/clip on blades was discontinued when using my Gillette Mach III Electric that I put dead batteries in after I found out all the Electric did was vibrate the shaver too much. The Twin Trac II blades from other brands as only seller at the time, by this point to me were not like they were so I went with better models of disposable Good News from Gillette and later the Persona Pivot Plus when the Good News was no longer made (for a period) that was actually better than the until 2017 when the Persona was not great and the Gillette Fusion was trash as was the new Mach 3 when I found a butterfly T shaver as I knew I would want butterfly over 3 piece as I often need to do a light clean up in middle of shave to unclog the shaver.

Fabulous shave with this software this morning. About two months ago
, at our monthly breakfast, I was commenting to Joe, @Trigger, that the scent of the Denim aftershave was very familiar to me. I just could not place it. Well now I have my answer. The Catie’s Bubbles Vintage is a very similar scent.

The fabulous passes to a super smooth shave. I did manage two delayed weepers on my chin and upper lip. No big deal since I have not experienced them in a while. Finally, I am going to look to have this tub meet up with the Edmund Fitzgerald by mid December.

Hope you all have had a great day.
