I thought I might try shaving in the shower at the gym, since the sinks there are not very shave-friendly. I’d need a mirror that I could use in the shower. It must be easily attachable/detachable to the shower wall. So far, the ones that I’ve found online seem to have hooks that attach to the wall with an adhesive. Obviously, this wouldn’t work for me. Does anyone have a small shaving mirror that might attach with a suction cup or anything else that doesn’t require a permanent installation?
Another approach would be to think in terms of two items rather than one: Suction cup hooks (widely available) and camping mirrors.
I thought I’d give an update on where I ended up with this. I bought a fogless shaving mirror on Amazon. It has a small hole which you can use to hang it on a hook. I then bought a suction cup hook to use with the mirror. This didn’t work out, as the shower walls at my gym have a textured surface and the suction cups will not adhere to them. So what I ended up doing is this: I got a length of synthetic cord and tied one end of it to the hole in the mirror. Then I tied the other end of the cord to a shower curtain ring, which I happened to have laying around. At the gym, I just clip the shower curtain ring onto the shower curtain rod and just let the mirror hang there. Of course I adjusted the length of the cord such that the mirror is at face level. Works great. I eventually intend to replace the shower curtain ring with some kind of plastic hook, as this will make it a little easier to attach and detach. I also found a nice little toiletries bag on Amazon intended for use in the shower. I put my soap, shampoo, and shaving gear in there and hang it on the same cord holding the mirror (and behind it). It has worked out very well.
