    Good afternoon.

    Schick G2
    Pella SE Blade (5)
    MrEE Cashmere Synthetic Brush
    Stirling Tsuka SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Lucky Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 2.3 Days

    20250921_160809.jpg

    Had a nice, comfortable, error-free 2 pass shave. I find the G2 more aggressive than my I-1 and less aggressive than my E-1. I went with loading the brush and repeatedly wetting the tips to produce a nice, slick lather. Honestly, how can you not get a great lather with Stirling soaps?
    Had a decent feedback from the alum. Splashed on the witch hazel and the wonderful matching aftershave to finish this session. Take care.

    What do you mean by higher efficiency?

    I will still at times as needed turn the dial up 1 higher to get the chin all the way done then go back for the rest of the face. Nice part is I get also get the dial set so I can shave where I need unlike my previous shaver model, the Micro Touch One where the shaver is stuck at what you get from the blade and shaver is what you have to use.

    I meant that you dialed it up one setting higher which makes the razor slightly more aggressive and thus more efficient.

    I was only able to do so because the blade was not going to cut my skin now when using normally. This is the beauty of an adjustable shaver is they can have more aggression as needed when the blade dulls in a tad.

    Single use DE Blade
    Shave Stick

    Sticking to the Tuckaway again with a 2 day growth while I try a fresh new blade each day, minimising variables. That said I did skip the pre-shave routine.

    2 Days growth

    Prep: Cold water shave
    Soap = Wilkinson shave stick
    Brush = Semogue Pegasus
    Face lather
    Razor = Tuckaway
    Blade = Wilkinson (1) Made in China
    Passes = 3
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal
    ASB = L’Occitane
    ASL = Blue Stratos
    Scent = Blue Stratos
    Damage = None

    Three passes needed to complete the shave: either due to skipping my usual Pre-shave routine, or, somewhat more likely, due this blade not being the keenest. To be honest it felt a bit rough and and needed careful supervision. Either way, success was had, and no damage to report 22 Sep 2025.jpg

    Have a good day one and all…

    Nice to see you rocking the SEs Barry

    I agree the Stirling soaps are affordable, very slick and easy enough to lather. I glad I have a few more pucks left!

    Keep looking for the Tsuka to be re-released, but no such luck yet :)
