Greetings, A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend.. Everything in my shave set up worked together excellently resulting in a close comfortable shave with no errors to report...A wonderful performance from the vintage Ever-Ready 1912. Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Ard Al Zafran Dirham Oud EDP to the chest & pulse points. My face & precious swede are is feeling smooth & smelling divine. Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.
Today's shave is a 10/10 and I wish I could and wish I could rank higher because I had no cuts despite having shaved on dial 5 almost the whole time after a few strokes on dial 1. I was nearly BBS the whole beard area except having sideburns. Today is shave 14 on the top/total with the Personna 100 pack made in USA I bought in late 2017. I used as always, my H 2 Gillette Adjustable slim handle shaver without the case. I shaved after the shower, so I did not need to use any of the shave soap I made from a small hotel lotion and soap/conditioner in the bottle. I did keep the blade wet the whole time as needed.
Third and final(for now)shave with Proraso. Great work, all around. Fine close with the Refreshing A.S. Back to shave soaps/brushes now for a while.
-The-Weekender- 1940 milord tuxedo col conk good afternoon gents fine lather built with the tuxedo brush smooth 2 passer with the early milord, minor pickups lime a/s to finish awesome have a fine weekend everyone
I am getting better because I am getting better at matching the blade dullness to the shaver dial number I need.
Nice Shaver, I would love to own a brass butterfly model with coating of Gillette but they are all expensive now for one that has not been cleaned improperly going to the brass as the coating removed or the wear has the shaver to the brass. Of the models, I would like to own the Aristocrat in the coated brass because that is what my dad has and if not the Gillette Super Adjustable Shaver that has the coating instead of nickel plaiting. There is a cheap modern model from India/Pakistan that is Nordic gold, a type of brass that due to one of the metals tarnishes very slowly in a similar design to a small handle Wishi butterfly model I might get on e-Bay if my Micro Touch One dies. It looks like it might come with a case, but I would still keep the cheap one I just got.
