  1. Thursday was an old school shave, Wade and Butcher, boar brush and finished off with vintage Old Spice. Friday was a modern version with 7/8 Hart Steel 3/4 grind blade and finished off with Creed Neroli Sauvage. The watch is a British brand, Fears, featuring a jumping hour function.

    Fine Green Vetiver~~Hoffritz 19mm~~Wolfman WR2/Rapira~~Montale Aoud Ever
The Fine Green Vetiver is an homage to Guerlain Vetiver.

Most wet-shavers are familiar with the tallow Fine soaps. They are (were) stupendous.
Nicked my chin with the Wolfie. User error.
Picked up this stank not too long ago. And while Oud (Aoud) is in the name, it's really more of a vetiver stank.
Hard to find, but for true "Fragheads" @Keithmax it's worth searching out.
  3. I will but that on the to try list.

Fine Lavender Pour Homme~~Simpson D3 SiLVERTiP~~1941 Gillette Ranger Tech/Rapira~~Vintage Guerlain Jicky
    Oh, what a shave!
The Fine Lavender is a dupe of Czech & Speake Oxford & Cambridge.
I used to have then AS splash, but gave it to my son-in-law.
The OG Super-Speed was loaded with a thrice-used Rapira.
Finished with 5 glorious sprays of Sean Connery's favorite
    stank.
  5. On the survey, "None of the above" has made a serious move to try to overtake "All of the above". This could be interesting.

  7. Sunday night was date night at a small an intimate jazz club, just 8 tables. I went all out, super lather with AoS cream + tallow AoS soap, a Varlet brush and my big stainless steel Friodur, epic shave for an epic night. I knew my date would be wearing vintage No 5 so for close quaters work I went with Musc Koublaī Khän. A perfect match for a cool rainy fall night.

ToOBS Oud~~Paladin Pk-47~~1941 Gillette Ranger Tech/Rapira~~Louis Vuitton Pur Oud
Honestly, I don't know if I have another soap that I can 3017.
Possibly one of my AoS creams.
MAYBE, my Extro Egyptian Oudh...(don't love the scent)
    Tough decision. :signs002:

Yardley Black Label~~Rooney Beehive~~1941 Gillette Ranger Tech/Rapira~~Vintage Gucci Pour Homme
Shaved with the absolute KING of vintage shave soaps.
I used to own the matching AS & Cologne, but I piffed them to somebody or another. Can't recall who. :signs002:
No matter, they weren't that great.
Now, let's extol the beauty of the sublime Gucci Pour Homme from 1976.
    This is an absolute classic.
Decanted it from a 30ml plastic splash bottle.
    That was completely unacceptable.
A shave for the ages, gentlemen.
  11. Why not 3017 the Yardley? :scared003:
  12. Two vintage stanks back to back.

A big 8/8 Mike Martinez with a slight smile, that unfortunately needs to visit the stones. Despite the edge lacking I did finish smelling great with Vintage Kouros. Since this is Chusok, our version of Thanksgiving Seoul was empty so I could pour the Kouros liberaly. Another big 8/8 blade, Osiris, which is sporting a nice edge. I followed that shave up with vintage Brut, amazing stank.

The donut of death is getting wider. I hope I can finish this one by next week. The weather is changing here so it is time for a fall soap.

Arianna & Evans Agarwood~~Simpson Polo 8~~1941 Gillette Ranger Tech/Rapira~~Creed Royal Oud
Nice and cool is the weather outside.
Perfect for a double-dose of Oud.
The A&E has a lovely scent and, of course, their soap base is outstanding.
Creed's Royal Oud isn't at all barnyardy, but rather elegance personified.

Valobra Fougère~~Hucklaration B5~~Grand Shave King DOC/Rapira~~Vintage YSL Kouros
The Valobra Fougère is one-powerful beast.
The scent is amazing and the lather...unbeatable.
The Grand Shave King has become one of my favorite razors. It's light-weight and has the perfect amount of blade exposure.
For my S. Korean friend, @Keithmax , another beast...vintage Kouros.

The Chasing the Dragon soap is fantastic. Powerful scent; slick, protective; everything one needs for a successful shave.
The stank du jour seemed like the obvious choice.

Extro Egyptian Oudh~~Simpson CH2 Synthetic Badger~~Grand Shave King DOC/Rapira~~Oud Assam
Ok, here it is. Primo's next 3017. It took me a while to make a decision, but like I said before,
while this soap makes great lather, I don't really care for the scent.
    Ergo, let's use it up.
    Finished with a proper oud.
  20. I may have mentioned this a long time ago, but the man on the lid looks a lot like LBJ.
