    Menthol Monday:

    Quick cool shower
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Perma Sharp day 2
    Palmolive Menthol SC
    Gold Bond Moisturizer
Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Splash

Not a Grand Freeze but still cold enough to satisfy my menthol cravings. The Palmolive Menthol has always been a top favourite cream of mine - it’s hard not to love its delightful fresh, minty scent, just a small dab on both cheeks gives such fantastic lather with lots of slickness, and the postshave feeling is so comfortable. The Gold Bond moisturizer works so well as a balm, and the Aqua Velva is another favourite aftershave of mine - do I ever LOVE its old school scent and its icy cold sensation. Three passes did the job for me - what a great BBS shave this was!

Wishing you all a nice week - be well and stay safe!

Chag Sukkot Sameach to all the Jewish members here![IMG]

PRE: Cold water slapped on face with hands
RAZOR: Dovo Shavette, bought at Ems Place because the long-blade Black insert was available as an option even though DOVO stopped making it, as well as a pack of Hercules Long-blades, and I wanted a blade for my 1st Shavette to be of a similar length as a straight razor that I hope to graduate to some day
BLADE: Merkur Super, came with razor (2)
    BRUSH: Stirling Soap Synthetic
    BOWL: Face Lathered
    SOAP: Coniferous from Stirling Sop
POST: TSD Milk, Lather and wood, Captains Choice Splash, all 3 Sandalwood scent

I pushed a coniferous soap sample from Stirling Soap into a pushup stick because RAD and SAD, and I wanted to try lathering with a soap stick. I did the same thing with an ARCO stick and I just purchased a TABAC stick thats the vegan kind after searching for the one with tallow and not being able to find it anywhere. I’ve been hearing lots of good things about TABAC so of course I have to try it out, just ordered it from the razor emporium for 10 bucks!

When I shave with a Shavette, I get SAS at best and this one was just barely. This is so I don't cut myself. Sometimes I’ll follow up with a DE to get DFS or close to BBS but not this time. I just wanted to practice face lathering and by just barely attaining SAS if even, I’ll be able to shave again tomorrow or the next say at the latest which is a great thing to me. Yes, I’m afflicted for sure!

    Greetings,

Early morning face & head shave.

The Proraso Sensitive Soap provided me with slick protective lather for the shave leaving a equally good post shave feel. Out of the 3 proraso soaps I've tried I find the sensitive has the best slickness.

A close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Boots Freshwood ASB.

My face and precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

    Tabac Shave Soap
    SlimGEM Silvertip Badger
    No Name Russian Razor
    Gillette Silver Blue
    CWR

The Tabac Shave Soap was face-lathered well with the SlimGEM Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the No Name Russian SHaDE Razor and the half Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Tabac After Shave . I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Earlier today - something new and unusual:

    Long shower
    Super Speed/Perma Sharp day 3
Naturica Siberica Arctic Wolf Shaving Gel
Naturica Siberica Yak and Yeti AS Gel

A few weeks ago my lovely wife found this Naturica Siberica stuff at a Russian cosmetics store here in town and because the prices were very low she bought them for me so I figured “why not, let’s give them a spin.” The shaving gel is clear, brushless, it doesn’t foam up but it has a nice clean scent as well as a bit of a menthol sensation, and it also gives very good protection from dryness or irritation. The aftershave gel also has a nice scent which I would say is minty along with some outdoorsy notes and it’s very soothing - not only that it’s quite cooling. I had no trouble at all using my Super Speed and two passes were good enough to get me BBS. Did I enjoy this shave? Yes I guess so but I won’t be using anything brushless except this stuff and only on rare occasions.

Have a great day my friends - be well and stay safe![IMG]
