After I saw your question I went and lathered the new Windsor puck and my other "before 2024 " soap base Arlington puck side by side.I used two 24mm tuxedo synthetic knot brushes ,both watered and flicked damp.I face lathered both, one each side.the Windsor definitely needed more water from the start and was stickier to begin withThe Arlington lathered slightly quicker but stayed a lower structure lather, less water required. The Windsor built up into a rich creamy thicker lather that was very white, not see through.the Arlington was more "see through" on the face than the Windsor. Both were very slick.I am glad i did it this way as I'd thought I had done something different had they been a separate day apart. From the get go,the Windsor tallow first puck did take longer at first and required more water, with a more traditional? looking lather at the end The Arlington looks/feels more like a Mcduffs or A & E type lather..builds thinner,wetter,quicker..
