This Noble Otter Rainroot doesn't really smell like rain in a jungle or in an Amazon rainforest, the scent is okay not perfect, and happy to keep it in my den with the rest of the whole Noble Otter soaps collections.

The BIC METAL is a good choice for travel or a hurried shave. One is still operating with a single blade (on the packaging it's called a metal bar), and three passes gives me as good a shave as the majority of my loadable razors.

The Musgo Real Shave Soap was face-lathered well with Jayaruh #188 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the PAA Bakelite Slant Razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Lilac Vegetal After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Since it a Friday in spooky October I decided to head up to Camp Crystal Lake with a ride from Alien Shave. I brought along the dark Nodachi for protection as Jason is no match for it!

Camp Crystal Lake is an amazing scent! It really makes me feel as if I’m at a camp in the woods. The smell of pine tress mixed with a slight citrus note and a faint smell of a fire crackling in the distance. Alien shave’s base is protective and slick. A small amount explodes with lather. And it can take its fair share of water. Always something I like. I wish Alien would come out with more scents. I really do love their offerings.

The Nodachi is one of my favorite razors. I own it in Ti as well as this. I had been reaching mostly to my Ti razors lately with aluminum spritzed in but grabbed the SS today. I’m glad I did as the heft of the SS was a nice change of pace. It was a smooth, efficient shave as always with Tatara.

Was a very scary shave but I knew I’d be safe with the weapon I wielded! Have a great weekend and enjoy the shaves!
