Today's shave was a 10/10 as I used dial 3 trying dial 2. I got nearly a BBS today on dial 3. Today was Personna USA 100 pack day 6 topside/total.

I used, as always, my H 2 or 1962 Gillette Adjustable slim handle shaver without the case.

I shaved after the shower, so I did not need to use my shave lotion/soap home concoction on my face, but I kept the blade wet as needed and face was wet from shower. I did like most days since late 2017 a partial clean opening up the shaver in middle of shave to keep going before the final clean at the end but did the partial clean 2 times in middle of shave.

After Using the FEIYU blade I appreciate using a less mild and way soft stainless steel blade.

    Greetings,

A very eclectic shave set up to start the weekend.

Everything in my shave set up worked together superbly this morning.

It's been a while since I've last added the Supermax classic shave cream to my shave set ups, and forgot how good this inexpensive shave cream performs, this morning I put a almond size amount in the brush and built a lather on my face & head dipping the tips of the brush to get it to the consistency I prefer, it's slick protective, and doesn't dry out on your skin and leaving it feeling hydrated and smooth with a good post shave feel.

Finishing the shave off a with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd America Night EdT to the chest & pulse points.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Nice going Joe. The world better watch out!

fine setup. Nice view of the razor too.

I need to try that soon, cream to the brush, to the face and off to the races :)

    Very eclectic as you say!

Give the "cream in the brush" method a try Chris once you familiarise yourself to this method it works wonderfully... Synthetic brushes, give quick instant good results, but it also works very well too with my boar brushes too, just make sure you add the water ratio gradually to the boar brush, "you can add water to it, but you can take it out"

Saturday's shave was a nice one. Again, I decided to squeeze out more of the Bill Neumann aftershave than the first time. Worked fine. Clean and soft all over the map. Zero incidents of negativity. One pass. Great close the the equalizer aftershave(Bill Neumann 1911). I'd love to see a BN shave cream looking like Barbasol or Rise(course Gillette Foamy is part of that persuasion). I may be way ahead of my time on that, though. As Outstanding AS It Gets.

:thanks:, even going up on the dial from dial 2 to 3 I just remembered from my single cut yesterday to not go too aggressive.

I am going to a social gathering this evening so a good shave was necessary. Since my growth wasn't excessive, I went with the mild Schick I-1. I only needed 2 passes to give me a very smooth and comfortable shave. Did get a rare weep on the left cheek, but disappeared with the cold water and alum treatments. Had very little alum feedback. Finished with witch hazel and the matching aftershave to top off my shave. Take care.

Nice shave setup, pic and report, Gary. I have always liked those Aristocrat razor sets you have. And this time, your razor even has a genuine number in its model name ;) ...

Nice shave setup, pic and report, Chris!

I have been meaning to ask about those Euromax blades as it is not a brand I remember seeing before. (Not that that means much, since I quit looking for more blades for my stash three or four years ago -- unless I not only reincarnate but do so as a DE shaver with access to my stash, I already have more blades than I can ever possibly use.) Anyway, who makes Euromax and where? And how good are they?

That's a very snazzy soap bowl to go with the flashy rhodium-plated razor. What blades do you usually use now?

I don't think you can ever go wrong with a vintage Schick injector -- especially the ones later than the "E" model. I like the "E" too on occasion, but it can be a bit touchily aggressive.

Saturday November 8 ( morning) - No Theme November

Prep: Hot shower with Aleppo olive oil and 20% bay laurel oil soap (traditional anti-acne); followed by cold water pre-shave face rinse

Razor: Matte black stainless steel Supply 2.0 injector with "nick-proof" SE comb plate / Supply White Label (house-branded Personna)(1)

Soap: Crown Shaving Co. shave cream

Brush: Jayaruh #JR276 white ash handle with Omega Pro 49 boar knot

    Lather Bowl: None

Post: rinse, alum, rinse, Crown Shaving Co. Soothing After Shave Balm

Last shave: Monday November 3 ( morning) - 5 days ago

    The setup:

    IMG_20251103_090626.jpg

This was an exact repeat of Monday's setup except with a fresh new injector blade.

Again, while I am doing cold water shaves and rinse my face with cold water before shaving, I soaked the boar knot itself in hot water for a couple minutes beforehand to saturate and soften the boar hairs.

The Crown Shaving Co. cream is still soft - unlike many of my other shave creams. One quick dip of the bristles into the tub was all I needed to load the brush. I then face lathered. The brush worked up enough lather within its bristles for at least three passes.

Two passes of the razor had me back to cleanshaven. First pass was WTG everywhere and second pass was XTG on the face and ATG on the neck.
The alum block was quiet. The matching Crown Shaving Co. balm made a pleasant finish, especially as the weather is now cold and dry here.

Hope everyone had a good week!
