Ice Cube 2.0 / TORQX Slant Adjustable Razor (3 passes and touchups, 7.5.3.1)- Trig Blade D1(corked) / Captains Choice 24mm Silvertip Badger / Captains Choice Oceanic Copper Bowl / TSD Sandalwood Milk / PRAIA Balm and de Toilette AS spray from Stirling Soap.

The TORQX has 6 adjustments on the dial, but it overclocks past 6 to 4 so really has 10, which I like. I also really like to pronounce its name giving the X at the end its own syllable, like TORQ….. wait for it … X. Is that RAD or something more serious? ha ha. I do love that 24mm Badger I got from CC, its so luxurious and feels to me more like a 26 or even 28mm.

2 Days growth

Usual cold water prep and then pre-shave with the Proraso Cypress and Vetyver cream.
Soap = Stirling Ozark Mountain
Brush = Omega Pura Setola
Bowl = white plastic
Razor = Red Tip from Back Roads Gold
Blade = Astra (1) St Petersburg
Passes = 2 and done
Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal
ASB = TOBS Royal Forest
ASL = PR Rinfrescante
Scent = Proraso Cypress and Vetyver

An absolute stellar shave with the Red Tip and Astra. So much smoother and more efficient than my last shave. So smooth one would be tempted to go harder, but we all know where that would lead to. As smooth as I could wish for after 2 passes, both WTG and XTG. No ATG needed, no damage, no worries. It’s been a while since I used some Stirling, superb stuff.

The B-pure Shave Soap was face-lathered well with Jayaruh #220 2-band Badger Brush.Two Passes and touch ups with the Ming Shi Adjustable Razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel andAqua Velva 5 in 1 After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Thanks Gary...I'm surprised I didn't see it listed when I chose James' Old Spice clone. I do have other Bay Rum soap options to try.

 

We'll call it the Leaning Aftershave of Proraso
