I am sorry to read this as I think this is the friendliest, most helpful and best of the wetshaving forum sites. But all things end eventually. I first joined in October 2016. I barely knew how to get the blade in a DE razor, had no idea how to use the razor safely and as part of that couldn't lather soap to save my life. You guys taught me all of that, especially in the 30DC shave school threads. Now, 9 years later, I am shaving without cutting myself, have good shave products (including soap and splash the you made) and have made some good internet friends along the way. Thank you for all that. I am grateful for 9 good years.
jan.02 2017 was my start date here,just 3 months after dropping a 35 year shave career with carts.glad for all the knowledge,wisdom, friendship and great shaves.

As a newer member I am sad to go after being booted off Badger & Blade with no chance of reinstatement for "political" when my comment was just explaining. One shaver thread worked to get people booted off talking about how the USA Teriffs work first trying to get people into this forum by asking you to comment in on this one in personal messaging even then if you blocked the user they would hack that block to get you to comment by going in the personal messaging. Then the original poster from early in 2025 baited people in worse by the fact they keep on Hounding you to comment on the forum about the Tariffs you just said to the point you just commented to get the person off your back. They were trying to force the B&B Forum to a Cult of specific people only who only liked a 2.5 cm or 1 inch lather as well trying to find even in another thread a way to ban even the cult people of this cult gone who did not like lathers that thick.
I understand, but will miss this forum. I check in every day and have met some wonderful people here. This is now my only shaving forum and doubt I will go elsewhere. Best wishes to you and Sparky. Thank you for providing the best shaving site for as long as you did. You will be missed. Brian

Sad news indeed. This forum has been a regular part of my week for just over 12 years. I have been blessed to be a part of this fine group of people.
This is a shame. It will be sad to lose some of the valuable info that has been listed on this forum.
Well, I can only echo the sentiments of sadness and also of gratitude and thanks that have already been expressed by others above. This has been a great community and I know a lot of hard work has gone into it from Joanna, sparky, and all the members. Maybe I will run into some of you (@macaronus ?) over at shavingsociety*. But, I'm sure I won't be as active over there. *(Note that this forum is Dutch language based and not super active)
