  3. I think we are all good apart from the news that TSD is closing down at the end of the year, so we will have to find a new shaving forum home....
  4. Most definitely bad news.

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave,

I'm really impressed on how the DERBY USTA blade has performed throughout the week.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

My face is feeling smooth, & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

  6. Nice setup, Barry! That Nivea shaving cream looks like an interesting newer commercial drugstore product. Same with the L'Oreal ASB. I may see if they are available on this side of the pond. I don't think Benjamins splash is.

And Parker sells relatively inexensive but very well-made razors. I have never much liked the slant-style razors but that one is a good-looking model.

  7. Thank you, john. The Nivea cream & L'Oreal are well worth trying out if they are available on your side of the pond. However, both of what you see in my photo are quite old and I'm not sure if they are still in production. The Parker 55SL is a great smooth efficient razor, it's slightly less assertive than my Merkur 37C & 39C slant bar razors, but in my opinion the "semi-slant title" is just for selling purposes.

You have probably noticed in my postings I have a passion for Indian made shaving products, I have quite a collection of Parker DE razors & also have the Parker Adjustable Injector Razor too. they are not for everyone but, they work for me, and "that's all that Counts IMHO.

My last The Shave Den December 2025 shave focus will be a Indian/subcontinent hardware shaving product focus, of which I'll be using the Indian made Pearl SBF-11 TTO DE razor, of which I've infrequently used if the truth be known for my face shaves pairing it up with the Treet Dura Sharp (Carbon) PTFE coated DE blades. I find they work really well with all my DE razors, because they are inexpensive I use them for two shaves then use a fresh one. For my head/dome shaves I will be using the Parker InjRzr paired together with the Parker injector PTFE blades.

I hope all is well for you on your side of the pond. Take care.

    Yours- Barry.

    Awesome Alabama shave this morning.

The Feather Pro Guard blades are a little tuggy on the first shave but they smooth out on the second shave. :git:

    Happy Thursday everyone!
