I do like the Henson and have enjoyed your SOTD posts. The Henson was the 1st DE I purchased when I started wet shaving about a year ago. I’ve got the + and +++ and prefer the +++, although the + is great for touchups sometimes, especially when I shave with a Shavette due to being extra careful with those to avoid nicks. My Hensons are not in titanium and wondering if the higher cost of titanium is worth it?

    Also,
    10/14/2021= .00035343, not 1541 :)

Thank you very much! I do keep a list of my shaves. I'm also taking into account those days where I've shaved more than once. I've owned a couple of the Henson titanium razors. For me, I prefer the aluminum safety bar and top cap as they are easier to maintain. My first Ti ( The Henson Mild) worked like a charm except the spots that appeared on the top cap were really annoying. It took much effort to make the spots fade. I was fortunate to be gifted the handle. I like the feel and extra weight of it.

BTW I appreciate you inquiring about my shave count! Thank you :)

I wasn’t sure what that date and the ‘=‘ after it meant but I get it now I think. if its the number of shaves you’ve performed since 10/14/2021, thats roughly 4 years and 45 days, which = 365 * 4 = 1460 + 45 = 1505 which means you’ve shaved every day for 4 years and 45 days, and on 36 of those days, (1541 - 1505), you shaved more than once in the same day?

I took the above pics after applying the TSD milk, prior to the after shave but decided, instead of the Lather and wood and Sandpiper de toilette, to go with the Barbershop Balm and Aftershave (double glacial) from Stirling Soap, just to keep the mentholated theme going.

    Saturday morning’s Lethal Grand Freeze:

    Lukewarm shower
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/7 O’Clock day 13
    Bundubeard African Potato X3 SS
    Gold Bond Moisturizer
    Fine Snake Bite AS Splash

Another great face freezing soap from Bundubeard in Pretoria, South Africa that I’d forgotten about - it’s been sitting around for a long time so today I wanted to give it a spin. It’s glycerine based with a beautiful outdoorsy scent, it lathers superbly, it’s plenty slick, the menthol sensation is as powerful as any of the Stirling Glacials, and it’s so skin friendly. Jaco made it as a limited edition for the South African Master Shave forum and I jumped on it. The Gold Bond moisturizer is also really cold as well as soothing, and the Snake Bite aftershave went on frigidly cold - no real scent but it’s so good for the skin. Three passes gave me another picture perfect BBS shave that was lots of fun!

Enjoy your weekend and your shaves - be well and stay safe![IMG]

Absolutely and on more rare occasions I've shaved three times. For example, an early morning shave post workout at 5am. After yardwork later in the afternoon. On rare occasions even a one pass shave before going out for dinner with my gal. They all count!
