Do tell which group that is? Not sure what you mean by the mention of name will get you banned. Did you mean cross referencing this site and/or a member name? Or mentioning TSD? Are you recommending joining other groups with a different user name. Just asking of course.
I won't get into it, and that site. I will say, I enjoy participating at Against The Grain website, well respected gentlemen there.
I didn’t really use the site after I got some questions answered, but it was a great resource and I wish you well in your future endeavors.
Did we ever find out why TSD is closing? I particularly like the Theme by Caelum Nimmiel, it sort of has a vintage look.
I think the owner of the TSD is probably retiring, and my not want to continuing or passing on to the next person to keep the TSD going.
Life’s been busy so haven’t been active in a few years & things sure have changed since I joined in 2010. Just now learning about Wool Fat – also missed out on the Williams discontinuation & Tabac reformulation due to my inactivity and the race before everything disappeared. Sorry to see the site closing down but it had a nice run. Good people here. **if you’re reading this I’m pointing at you**

Fair enough, it's obviously more complicated hosting this forum than I thought. As an aside, I belong to one other forum (health related, not shaving related) and they manage to curtail costs by asking for, and getting, small contributions from the members. Not sure if that ever arose on this forum though. Steve, I "liked" your post, but not your prophesy!

I feel absolutely terrible to hear this news. Although I’m a member of wetshaving groups from Russia, Germany, and Greece TSD became my home base. Remember, no wet shaving forums on earth can’t last forever, some forums will have to DIE for good. You are welcome to join in the Aussie and Kiwis wet shaving forum, international are welcome, but, they only speak and communicate in English.
