    Greetings,

A bracing cold water face & head shave, which is an invigorating tonic for my mature skin and a good wake up call for my face sensors.

The Lea shave stick lathered up wonderfully with the Omega 10066 building up a slick protective lather in a short space of time.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face and precious swede are feeling smooth, & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

Same setup again, third successive daily shave in a row. The Permasharp is starting to drag on day 4, so it was time to relegate it to the recycle bin. The 2nd pass was done with the cap loosened a bit, to get more bite to the blade, but it does bring a new level of risk and more care was taken.

Overall good shave, although I must say my face is feeling it after 3 days in a row.

Enough lather produced with face today’s face lathering, and although this reduces the time taken to shave I still prefer a full face prep and bowl lathering.

I will try and stick to this setup for the rest of December, insofar as the duration of the The Shave Den allows, and although this will mean I won’t have done 30 successive days it does mean I would have (nearly) succeeded in the goal of the 30 Day -Rule-Focus.

    Have a great day everyone.

Thank you Chris...I've had consistently close comfortable shaves recently, this morning was no exception.

Great shave Chris. Doing a shave focus is a great way to pay tribute to our final days of the 30 DC thread.

Today's shave was a 9/10 as I used dial 4 as I only skipping a day to let those cuts heal so today, I only got 4 single hairs ripped out on neck. Yes, going up in dial from 3--4 helped as I got a nearly a BBS shave without cuts to myself as this was the biggest mistake with the last few prior shaves. Today was Personna USA 100 pack from 2017, day 10 topside/total. I do flip the blade over around 14--16 and count the flipped side amount with also a total overall.

I used, as always, my H 2 or 1962 Gillette 1960's era shaver without the case.

I shaved before the shower and did not use water, but I kept the blade/head of shaver wet as needed doing a better job than the day I had the cuts. I did do a partial in middle of shave clean at about 75--80% and did a final full clean at the end.

This gives me an idea. Why is there no company that has come out with 100% powdered soaps that can be used in individual packs for backpack camping/travel or main use with a more recyclable plastic number, aluminum, or glass jar?

    :thanks:

I was trying to do better after the mistake. I could have used dial 4 though for Sunday but might have opened up the cuts more. I skipped a day Monday to let my face heal from the cuts and even that was not bad as I used dial 4 today with only a few hairs ripped out around the cuts of Saturday that did not really blead even just healed right away.

I do that already, I have been doing it since 2017 getting X from the blade, this era of 2017 about the point 2016-2017 I was seeing cheaper non used as in e-bay Double edge in butterfly when I was thinking about changing to a replaceable blade to get a better shave. I wanted butterfly due to the needs of cleaning in middle of the shave like I did today and after the shave as my hair is that fast/thick in growing.

If you read my previous intros, I have defined what a 30 Day Focus entailed based on the original tenets of this thread. The 30 Day Focus was to have a shaver use the same razor, same soap, and same aftershave for thirty days. Of course, you have to use the same brand of blades when switching out of the razor.

It's been almost 2 months since I did a traditional straight shave so I went with my Engel Special. It's a great shaver. Did 3 passes for an error-free BBS result. This is my 3rd consecutive time using MWF and it has given me fine lathers. However, it is an uber thirsty soap and it does take a little longer to lather. However, I don't mind. Here's my lather below:

I didn't get any alum feedback. Splashed on the witch hazel and the Pinaud-Clubman and I am good to go. Take care.

I do I use the exact same blade for usually 30 shaves with made in China King C Gillette might miss the mark due to inconstancy or the FEIYU due to being too mild with very soft older types of stainless steel.

OK, that's fine. However, a true 30 day focus, is to use the same setup for one month.

I only use the same blade and shaver, with 95% of the time just water but not on the same dial due to having an adjustable so maybe that does not count or did.

    DE Shave # 631 - DEcember - PAA Prismatic

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: PAA Prismatic
    Blade: Suneko Amorphous Diamond SS
    Brush: Opus Shaving Brushes “Underdog”
    Lather: Ginger’s Garden Festivus
    Aftershave: Ginger’s Garden Festivus
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel

Another fabulous DE shave this passes without any hiccups. My face is super smooth and velveteen. Just the way the missus likes it.

I am definitely enjoying the Ginger’s Garden Festivus software. Periodically during the course of the day a whiff of the scent materializes.

Hope you all are having a great day.
