SWMBO just got home from grocery shopping. She came across this and picked it up for me, for my razors. She's cool. :happy088

It uses suction cups to attach to the mirror.

Great idea from the wife Truckman. But I see just one problem. If the thing hangs by a couple suction cups you are in for a world of hurt. The weight of the razors is much, much more than 4 plastic tooth brushes. It will be on the counter top or in the sink in not time.

Before I had my current wooden rack made (thanks to bluemonkey is a former life for the idea) i used individual razor hangers designed for the cartridge and disposable razors. Quite often the entire hanger and razor would simply fall off the wall. I can imagine what this might do with 4 metal razors hung on it.

I suggest that if possible you get some of the double stick hangers and attach it to the mirror or if your bathroom is paneled like mine to the wall. This will hold the rack up well and will not fall down. Also the kind of double stick stuff I got is easy to remove without marking my bathroom wall.

yeah, I wondered how well the suction cups would work, but I figured I'd give it a try anyway. Good idea about the double sided tape.

So I think that there has got to be a way to modify a "Command Hook" so that it will hold a razor. I just set mine on the counter. But then, I only have one right now.

Have any of you guys found a cool way to make a brush holder?

I think it was something like $2.50... It's been up since I posted this, fully loaded with 7 razors on it. Hasn't budged yet. Not saying it won't though.

A science teacher down the hall gave me an old wooden test tube rack. :happy088

It may be the perfect not-intended-for-razors holder I've found.

Just an idea if anyone else has access to test tube racks. ;)

I was looking at tooth brush stands at the department store last weekend and was thinking "razor stand".

At Target there is a wooden napkin holder in housewares. If you turn it on its side it is perfect for holding razors or fountain pens.

By the by... I started using a small piece of that tacky yellow adhesive you can get for about a buck at Walmart INSIDE of suction cups I mount to a smooth surface. And in a bathroom, smooth surfaces are everywhere. Cut about a 1/8" - 1/4" sq. piece of it and fit inside a cleaned suction cup and then mash the whole thing against the (clean) wall surface. Been working good for me and because the adhesive is REMOVABLE - I don't have to worry about ripping the wall off the studs when I decide to relocate it.

Might use it on one of the holders mentioned above if the dimensions are right...
