Yellow Tail Chardonnay that is. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but on occasion I like to indulge in the fruits of the vineyard, and this budget-priced offering from South Eastern Australia is quite tasty indeed.

I'm getten real tail. On the otherhand, The little penguin shiraz is a very nice subdued wine from australia. I have a few favorites from there. The 05' stump jump was a great blend as well. Another favorite on the cheap is Las Rocas Garnacha. The 05' and 06' were both great. The King Estate Pinot Noir was pretty good for a white IMHO.

My bad. It was getting late and I got tired before the end of the post. It was one of their whites that I had and it was rather outstanding.

    but, seriously folks......

Do remember which grape (or blend) it was from King's Estate ??.............cause their Pinot Gris is highly acclaimed. Maybe it was a bottle of that.

It may be the Pinot Gris. It was ~$20 a bottle. I got it at whole foods. Normally I would never buy a white but they were doing a tasting of a few and it was the star of the lot.

I recently had Trapische Malbec From Argentina. It's a great wine with food, especially beef, full-bodied, rich and fruity (blackberry). I see it selling between $8.50 to $10.50 at online discount stores but it's a much better wine than its price. Until I find it locally I am contenting myself with another Argentine Malbec, Vila. It's not quite as full-bodied as Trapische but respectable in its own right.

Little Penguin is an excellent, inexpensive wine. We buy it by the case.

Exactly, what is meaning by "getting tail", which I hear is vulgar? This is what I say that so many English expressions confuse me. Is it sexual, or pornographic?

Sexual. It means to go out and get laid.

I personally find Yellow Tail Chardonay to be very cheap tasting (no offense). It definately should be taken in moderation.

I dont like white wine to begin with. I find that a lot of the less expensive wines (white and red) dont have that hotness that many of the better less expensive wines do. Much of that can be taken away with a few swirls in a glass and thats whats important.
