It's not a very strong scent, it's lighter and smoother then most IMO, then it lightens up after 5 minutes or so for a hint of scent that lasts for a day. Makes a great body splash, normally what I use it for. coder.
Well I just had my first shave with Ogala bayrum. I'm assuming its a glycerine based soap, although it gave me huge amounts of lather. The scent was nice but unfortunately it wasnt very slick and didnt offer too much protection. I find that to be the problem with may glycerine soaps.
Every Wal Greens I've ever been in had it. That's where I got mine. They also carry regular Clubman and Lilac Vegetal though why anybody would buy that is beyond me. :sick007 Ditto.
Masters is a fine one so is... ST Johns TSD Burts Bees (aftershave balm only) Superior 70 If you are in to shaving soap TGQ Bay Run w/ Sweet Orange.
If you're really hankerin' for a bottle and can't find any local you can just pay pal me the cash, and I'll send you a bottle. PM me if this interests you. It's no biggie on my end.
Well, I ordered a bottle of Dominica, along with a bar of their bay rum soap. I think I'll get a bottle of Pinaud from the local drug store. Can use alone or mix with the Masters. Though Royall is highly recommended, it does seem a bit pricy. I'll see what it costs a the local Brooks Brothers (probably very pricy there...).
You can find the Royall cheap on occasion. Keep an eye on the FragranceX website. Occasionally it goes on sale and they often have free shipping. Also keep an eye on the Classifieds. I picked up an 8oz bottle for a fairly good price that way. Ogallala is good as well. Haven't tried the others mentioned... yet.
didn't bother to click on the "check my local store" before I went out. The Morgantown store is a reduced size Walgreen's. The Uniontown store is only ~20 miles north. they have it. And it's a nice day for a drive.
The Dominica bay rum arrived today. It has a strong fragrance that doesn't last long on my skin. Very different from the Master bay rum, which is smoother. This Dominica is more raw - I'm guessing it's a true bay rum, without any added fragrances. Well, I do like it, but it will take some getting used to. I also bought a bar of Dominica bay rum soap, and when it gets about 75 here in Cleveland, I think I'll break it out of its box.
I've only got Master and Pinaud Bay Rum and I love them both. Someday I'll try others, but for now these are fine by me.
Generally speaking, I am not a big bay rum fan. I like my cloves in my tourtière. Anyway. I actually enjoy the Geo. F. Trumper Bay Rum. Clovey? Yes, but I enjoy it nonetheless.
