been quite some time since I picked up anything worth mentioning, this is my latest acquisition. Back when I was working I used calipers to test decal material thickness and always wanted a set of my own.Now that I no longer need them, I found these. I picked them up for 15.00, crazy thing is, they came from my old employer, not the ones I used, but these are better.
BroJohn from B&B sent this NOS Box of Personna blades gratis.. goes perfect with the Personna Micrometric Razor! I sent John some C&E Shaving Soaps with Shaving Bowl in return for his generosity. Thanks again John.
BroJohn from B&B also sent some more NOS blades along with the Personna blades gratis.. I totally dig the little PAL character.
I got a 4 piece Canadian Tech from Scotty in a trade, a mystery NEW, a Shavemac 585 silvertip, Gada cool mint and original, and C&E Sienna Cologne this week.
Those 4 piece razors are neat.. I have a German and US made one, they are both open comb.. but still neat.
I think because of me...there are no Aftershave Milk Sample Bottles I picked up every Rose scented type of Aftershave milk. Hopefully if I remember Ill be posting up some reviews. I can tell you already that some of them have some familiar scents. Heres what I picked up and what they smell like out of the bottle... Wild Rose = DR Harris Pink Patchouli Rose = C&S #88 Rose Petals Eternal Roses Victorian Rose Desert Rose The above two are just in my humble opinion.....
I just came home to find a package containing my Minty French #66 set:biggrin: Haven't cleaned it or anythang.
That is incredible. The #66 is such a gorgeous razor. Congratulations! Is that the one that was advertised as a Coronation set?
Nice! Just out of curiosity, does a french 66 have the same markings as a British set on the razor? Or does it have the "Importe' D'Angleterre" stamp?
I think the only difference is the French instructions and that is was sold in France. It has all the british pats and say made in England on it.
Chris! Thanks for posting the picture of Alko.. neato! I was going to surprise but alas I save the surprise.. would like a couple of the PAL blades John sent me? When I received them I instantly thought of you. Send me a PM with your address...
Scotty.. how many #66's do you own now? This French one is A M A Z I N G !! How I do love everything FRENCH.. the food, the wine, the women.. Keep your eye out for this one is you like #66's.. it's my favorite out of my meager collection.. at least until the 1908 Every Ready Travel Set arrives.
Very nice - enjoy! Oh, and @everybody: Could you plese keep an eye on the size of your pictures? Not everybody here has unlimited internet access and this page just loaded like 6 Megabytes of big pictures.... Thanks! :ashamed001
I actually have a display of those hollow ground carbon blades. Mine have a good coat of grease on them and no visible rust, but I have yet to work up the courage to try one. I appreciate the offer though!
