Hi! Welcome to TSD. Please share a little background - how long have you been wetshaving (or new to it), what razor, blades, brush, soap/cream etc. are you using (or favorites if you have a big collection).
I have been wetshaving for about 2 years now. I have 3 superspeeds 1 of which is a blue tip. The blue tip is by far my favorite. I have 2 murkur's...a progress (for sale) and a barber pole 38C. I have been looking for the right brush and I have narrowed it down to The Savile Row 3824 and the shavemac silvertip. The SR won the brush wars over at B&B so I am leaning towards that brush. I love and use top quality soaps and creams to name a few Soaps: My favorites T&H Luxury, Tabac, MWF. I also use Trumpers coconut oil, and about 4 or 5 mama bears soaps. I have a couple of shave sticks QED Mocha Java/ and orange sherbert. My favorite creams are Castle forbes Lime, Proraso red and greenand nancy boy. I also have and use mugso real,TOBS sandlewood, Trumpers sandlewood. I have a Vulfix 3322 brush and can't wait to upgrade. My favorite blades are the russian 7'oclock/feather/derby/murkur. Aftershave balms Coral skin food/castle forbes limes/proraso!! Aftershaves Royal spyce/royal lyme/ pinaude clubman and bayrum. I think that is it LOL.
I am the shave den's resident Super Speed fantic. I am positivly nuts about the things. I have eight of them at the moment, that is until I manage to buy more of them. The blue tips is real good not my favorite though, thats the 40s super speed. Ever tried some mama bear soaps? I got three out of a grab bag and like them a lot so far. I also like the Crabtree and Evelyn soaps as well, ever tried them? You have only tried the Proctor and Gamble Gillette blades! Get your self a sampler pack and try all of the brands of blades available. I have been doing this for two years like you and I am still not done sampling blades.
Never tried C&E. I have three Mama bear soaps. Not a big fan of glycerin. I based my 7'oclock purchase off of a review that said they were sharp as feathers. They were almost right. I love them, plus I bought 100 of them!! LOL
