    Just wondered,

How long do these last for (not until used up) i mean how long are they good for?

Just wondered as given the rotation people talk about, what would happen if you had a proraso balm open, tabac, a razor burn relief, a moisturiser etc would you be wasting them or do they last a long time, ie 1 year plus?

    Whats your rotation

Generally the products are made from non-perishable ingredients. The usual problems over time include drying out or losing scent.

How long before soap looses its scent in your experience?

Well, in the year + I've been wet shaving, none have lost their scent yet. Some say over a year or so they begin to mellow out but I dont know of anything that has completely lost its scent.

    I was worried about this

myself as I bought a bunch of creams when I started out just recently. I know most of my creams have 12 months marked on them and most of my soaps have 36 months marked on them. Why they recommend that and how much the product actually dissipates beyond that, I'm not sure.

I use shaving soaps that are 50+ years old, shaving creams that have been stored for 20-30 years - they still work like a charm. I think you should rather worry about where you'll put all that stuff you'll be purchasing in the next few months and years :D

Well yeah, that was my worry! I have bought a ton over the past week. I will justify it to myself later!

I don't think after shave balms will dry out at all. I've got an old bottle of Nivea that must be 10 years old and it's still just fine. There was another thread on here about dried out creams, though. If I remember right, some water and mixing can bring it back to life. Scent may be gone for good, however.
