1. I've been surfing the net and checking out strops.

and then there is the paddle strop.

I do not know what i should get i also would never hear the end of it if i attach a strap strop to the wall or the towel rack. So i was considering and extra wide paddle strop or maybe one of the four sided ones i found on Ebay.

I could use some input on this:confused: I like the idea of a nice wide strop.
  2. Large strop not needed if you lean an X pattern

I have Illinois strops and can not complain about them at all, never even used a paddle.

As for hanging it, I use a D-Clip (ring, carrabiner what ever) and hook it to a door knob.
  3. I would recomend get a 3 inch Latigo hanging strop from Tony. I bought a combo Horsehide/latigo TM Strop and it's much more satisfying to use than the vintage Illinois strop I had as my first strop.

I think the paddle strops are more for using with abrasives and pastes for finishing/honing.
  4. You can use a paddle strop, but for everyday use, you really want to get a hanging strop. As far as hanging it, maybe on the back of the bathroom doom or even put a clip hook on the end of it and then you can stow it away after your shave.
  5. So do I. The quality is exceptional and the prices are competitive
  6. I'll just second that :D
  7. … and I'll just third it:D.
  8. Can I fourth that?
  9. sound like

    i should fifth that

    Thanks guys
  10. You should, every one says TM is the man. I got my Illinois for cheap and love it but based on reviews you cant go wrong with the well shaved gentleman store.
