Hey all, I'm thinking of trying some La Toja (regular and sensitive), and I need to know is there ANY menthol in it? I can't use mentholated creams, more's the pity, so I need to know before I buy.

    Cheers!

    Dang it Jim!

You got me all excited for a new mentholated cream!!!

As far as I know, no, there is no menthol in either. Both are awesome creams and tops on my list, although the Sensitive scent took a little to get used to.

However, maybe shoot Leon a PM?

This is slightly off the subject, but I recently came across some mentholated after shave and from my experiences is its been great. Its called Clubman Pinaud Lustray Menthol and I got it from a local beauty supply shop.

I have both La Tojas and don't think either has menthol. I will try and double-check tonight to see if the ingredients are listed on the tubes.

Update: I checked the tubes and neither lists the ingredients. I don't have the boxes anymore, but I don't think either has any menthol.

It's either one or the other. Pinaud Clubman Menthol, which is old, rare, and worth the money; or Lustray Menthol, which is not-so-old, not so rare, and not worth the money.

Both are discontinued, and the Clubman is getting scarce. A glass bottle (this stuff was never in plastic as far as I know) can run around twenty dollars 100% full.

The Lustray was discontinued a couple of years back, but can still be found in a lot of beauty supply/barber shops for 4 or 5 bucks. DO NOT order a bottle of Clubman Menthol online without seeing an actual pic of the bottle, as a lot of vendors (cough, ebarbershop, cough) are trying to pass off Lustray menthol as Clubman Menthol. Also, don't pay over 6.00 for a 14 oz bottle of Lustray Menthol, as it can be had all day for much less.

I have a La Toja box (and the contents) and can confirm that that menthol isn't listed.

No menthol is in La Toja, but it still is excellent stuff.

Well, it seems the consensus is in....

    GET THEM!!!!

Honestly, I don't think I've ever heard a bad word about the stuff. While you're at it, pick up the A/S, too.

Thank you guys SO MUCH for recommending this cream. I have had two shaves with La Toja sensitive and they have been just fantastic...this stuff really is wonderful. And the size of the tube!

Man...should I get the regular as well? Is it significantly different? Better?
Or just another tube of the sensitive?

The scent of the regular is different. IMHO, it's better. Performance wise, for me, I don't really notice much difference. Maybe the Sensitive formula is a little more conditioning to the skin? I don't know, but I think they're both awesome. I also like the splash, although it is a bit heavy on the alcohol...

If worse comes to worst, you can always get rid of them here....quickly too I might add.... I wouldn't mind a pre-Classifieds PM first! ;) :D
