Got Osage Rub!

My car broke down today. The alt died so the battery wasn't getting any juice. Had A^3 tow it to Ford for part replacement.

This was in the early morning - an utter nuisance.

Later I got a ride to the Ford Shop to retrieve my car. I paid, got my keys and walked to where they'd said my car was parked.

And what was there - a few steps away from my Explorer?

    A CB Sullivan!

So I flipped thru my wallet, made sure I had the guy who cuts my hair's card, went in and boom OSAGE RUB ALL OVER THE PLACE!

So I bought a bottle, and used and have to say, yes it's nice but I thought it'd be just outrageous. It burns unpleasantly for like 20 sec then is nice and cooling - nothing outrageous. Alt-Ins level, probably double the strength of AV Classic.

Nice though, and 14 oz for 4 bucks :)

This is no frigging joke. I willed that Osage Rub into place. I was concentrating real hard last night- visualizing a bottle of Osage Rub with the message "Go to Kaveh..."

I shXt you not. I was kind of freaked out when I saw your thread.

Sorry about the alternator though. I didn't mean for that to happen. :)

Mr. Pinaud, I actually believe you because I called all these damn stores and not one carried it.

Honestly Gillette Canned Foamy is as mentholated. Give it a go - it's put out, after all, by your favorite shaving cream line.

I love my Osage Rub. I was given a large 4 oz. sample by a fellow shaver and still am going through it. Wish I would run across it in a store.

I don't think I will ever have this stuff, but what I can do?

Jeff, I'll ship ya a bottle if you happen to have some of that Detto cream and Godrej Menthol Mist you're willing to trade. ;)

Oyyyyyyy, Jason, I cannot trade for alcohol based stuff. It will never pass through Canadian Customs. The damn Inspectors are more severe than in previous years, and it can get me in a big trouble. Thank you for your generous offer, though. :)

That's totally false. I ordered some Osage Rub from ebarbershop down in Florida, and I'm in Canada. It arrived no problem. The customs label was marked "toiletries." If, however, you'd like to order it right from Canada, PM me, and I'll hook you up.

Ebarbershop charges far too much for mostly fairly common items that are more cheaply had elsewhere. I would not and do not recommend anybody shop there. In this case they want $12.50 or $14.50 (they list two different prices on the site) + s/h for a 14 oz. bottle. Yeah right. I'm not alone in my low opinion of them, but if you had success then more power to you.

The price of shipping isn't the issue. The issue is that the package of Osage Rub arrived here in Canada without being held by Canada Customs. I've ordered alcohol-based products from them several times with no problems.

These fairly "common" items you speak of may be common in the US, but not in Canada. For Canadians, ebarbershop is the only way to get this stuff. By the way, shipping for a bottle is $12.95 U.S.

15 BUCKS! That's robbery - I bought mine from CB Sullivan for ten dollars less.

Ebarbershop is what happens when online barber supply stores die and go to hell. Their prices are straight from the fiery pits and their customer service is satan himself.

Why not do like most Canadians and befriend an American on a shaving forum, who will gladly send you a bottle at cost? I sent a bottle to a fella in Ontario last week. It came yesterday, and he was out of an entire twelve spot (five for the bottle and seven for shipping). :D

Well stated, Rob. We need more Barber Supplies, so I don't have to go into CB Sullivan with the air of hairdresser to obtain some Osage, procure some Pinaud.

Well stated Rob. Plus which let me add that if eBarbershop can ship to Canada without issue then so can any other website you may find. I'm pretty sure eBarb. doesn't have some special deal w/ Canada Customs that nobody else has. 12 to 14 bucks for Osage Rub is highway robbery. It is 4 to 5 bucks almost everywhere else online or off.

Do you manhandle the Masters and jiggle the Jeri's while you're there? :D

You're right, it's highway robbery, especially when you consider that they're ordering from the same distributor that *a lot* of other places use and coincidentally happen to sell the same Osage Rub for five dollars or less. I know prices can vary depending on case load, but these guys at EBS are making mucho profit off their scents.

And I apologize for coming off a little gruff to the above poster. Early in the morning and neighbor kids getting on the bus woke me up.. blah blah. Anyway, my point was that had he come on here and said, "Gee guys, I wish I could find it at that price. Here in Canada I have to... etc." I'm positive any of the members here who can find this stuff locally would have cheerfully volunteered to send a bottle. I don't know what his original post said as I didn't catch it before it was edited, but ebarbershop has a habit of *cough*spam*cough* seemingly "happy customers" who happen to double as "employees". :scared002 My sincere apologies if Dean Wiler is not an affiliate.
