I used Arko’s Citrus shaving cream this morning for the first time. The light citrusy sent was very much to my liking. So, now I’m curious about the Arko Citrus aftershave/cologne. Has anyone tried it? It looks a bit gaudy in the plastic bottle. And, I fear it will dry my skin out and cause my face to crack in half or perhaps make me break out in festering blisters… but oh that scent; I sure would like to try it. Anyone know anything about it?
Not the citrus inparticular, but I have the Komando ARKO aftershave. It doesn't smell like the shaving cream at all- has a pretty strong top note of citrus itself- and burns like crazy when applied. The alcohol content must be extremely high in it.
It's about the only Arko AS/Cologne I like, but Good God I hate that cheesy bottle ! :sick007 Anyway, the burn is not much more intense than a typical Pinaud AS. Which is to say, you won't forget you're putting it on. The smell is typical Arko- nice at first, but deteriorates into some weird soapy, burnt lemon amalgam that makes my nostrils crinkle. That said, it's still my favorite Arko product. :happy102
These are not exactly glowing reports for Arko aftershave. I don’t think I’ll pursue it any further. Many thanks to Omegapd and ClubmanRob for sharing their experience with the product.
I haven't used the Arko Citrus AS but I am a big fan of St. Charles Shave's Mediterranean Citrus AS. I find the citrus scent to be subtle but with a nice lemony top note. It is very soothing to my face also. I see they have an extract of lime AS/Balm now. I have no info about it but I have been happy with the 3 ASs I have from them (Sandalwood, Blue Line).
