how many shaves did you get with them before you threw them away?

    OR

if you used a fancy vibrating Mach 3 or Fushion kinda cartridge razor, how many shaves did you get out of them before you threw out the cartridge?

I used a Sensor or Mach 3 Cartridge for 2-3 weeks, shaving every other day. That's 7-10 shaves. I only used water as every can of goo I've ever tried irritated my face. I switched to a DE razor shortly after going to a brush.

I would get one or two shaves per cartridge. I didn't like that I couldn't clean the gunk out from between the blades. I could get generic brand sensor blades for pretty cheap for a while. I switched to electric when the price went up and then ended up growing a beard.

I still use an Atra cart. quite a bit. One cartridge will last me 7 days. I get great shaves from them and they're just about cheaper than DE blades now. Family Dollar has their own version, probably made by ASR, that costs a whole $1.25 a 5 pack.

With a Fusion, a cartridge was good for anything from 5 to 7 shaves for me. On Friday, my uncle was telling me how he has been using the same cartridge in his Fusion since December. I cringe at the thought of scraping my face with a 5 month old cartridge.

I got a Gillette Sensor freebie promo pack about 12 years ago, when I were a young man, which I tried for a brief time. I used to get about three shaves per cartridge before the moisture strip went all gooey and naff although the blades could have probably lasted a bit longer. Then I switched to an electric shaver. Moved over to a DE razor about two years ago and I've been happy shaving this way since.

Mach 3 & Fusion - 1 cartridge per week. I used to shave 4 days in a row (due to my work schedule 4 days on 4 days off), then off a day or two, shave either the 2nd or 3rd day off, no shave 4th day off, then back to my 4 days of shaving......I hope that makes some sort of sense....OK,OK....how's this sound: 4 days in a row of shaving, followed by 1 shave during the next 4 days....

Now, I recently took 1 day off of shaving a week or two ago, due to a particularly rough shave so I wanted a day to heal. Before that, I can't remember the last time I took a day off of shaving....

Before DE shaving, things were not good. The electric sucked. After 20 neck passes, razor burn was there but the hair remained. The cartridges were too expensive to use, and the disposables didn't last long and also irritated. I just ended up shaving only once a week. First using the beard trimmer with out the clip, then with a disposable(one use only). That way I looked like crap all week and look good only for the weekend.

B4 DE shaving, I used the ridiculously expensive Power Fusion. Perhaps I got 4 shaves out of a cartridge.
