Wednesday: Parker 91r razor / Treet Classic blade d1 / Omega 61384 brush / C.O. Bigelow SC / Anherb Balm / M&L Florida Water Cologne

Beware of the 91r! Forgot how aggressive a razor it is. BBS with a couple of nicks. Guess that'll learn me to be more careful with sharp objects early in the morning.

That Iridium is still going strong. Surprising because I thought it was pulling in the final pass of it's first shave. I am starting to think my lather was just drying out or something. Thanks Bong for letting me try these!

I am home with a sick son today. :( I feel really bad for him. He can't breath through his nose, and is having a very hard time sleeping. It sucks not being to help.

    Razor: Rolls Razor
Lather: Arko on the face, Tom's of Maine Mint on the brush
    Brush: Tweezerman
    Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue

First time using a Rolls Razor. I think the blade is still in need of a sharpening that may be beyond the included hone/strop. It was a rough shave. The cooling touch of the Tom's of Maine topped with Aqua Velva has my face feeling icy cold. Very nice and soothing.

Hmm....some redness today. Don't know if it was the Harris Lavender, the blade or the Bourbon Parfums...

    • Ever Ready 100T boar
    • Arko Stick
    • 11/16 W&B Special Razor
    • Thayer's A/F Original
    • Speick splash

Result: Fantastic shave today. I got the Speick sample (thx Dr. Mike!) Monday, and didn't use it yesterday due to my Freezy Face day :)freezing), and got the Arko Stick yesterday (Thanks Shawn!). So I used them both today. They actually work well together in the scent department. A great shave today, close, comfortable, and smooth.

    Vulfix #2233
    TOBS Traditional SS
    L'Occitane Vetyver EDT

10-11 hours later... Some stubble is visible, but still feels pretty smooth. The open-comb does cut pretty close to the skin. The yellow-pack Gillettes seem quite smooth and sharp. Waiting to see how long it lasts.

    Preshave: Proraso
    Brush: GFT Best Badger
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Razor: 1951 Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade: Astra Superior
    Aftershave: Proraso
    Cologne: Yves St Laurent 'Jazz'

Second shave with the Mitchell's soap and i found that the lather was good but tended to dry out, resulting in me having to wet my brush again before relathering for another pass. Technique is still improving and I can get a smooth and usually nick free shave along my jaw line and under my goatee almost every time.
