To those who have these products:

Are they worth it? I've been teetering on the edge of making the purchase for both, but I'm not sure if they are actually worth the high cost. Also, does anyone have a cheap resource to get these if they are worth it? As far as quality is concerned, how are they?

You have enough splashes, DJ - stop purchasing unnecessarily!

Proraso, La Toja and Speick are my favorite splashes right now.
I haven't tried the balm so I cannot comment on that.
Definitely try it. If you don't like it, you will sell it back on the BST in a heartbeat.(not to me though I have about 600ml of the stuff right now) :D

You don't like that stuff Bong. PM me and I'll be kind enough to take it off your hands. :D

Seriously, Bong was kind enough to send me a sample. Awesome stuff, its on my want list now.

I really enjoy the Proraso line...what I've tried anyway. The cream and the splash. Plus I hear good things about the soap too. Only problem w/ the splash is it's pricey here in the States. Superlather carries it or you can find it via Google shopping or Amazon. It's generally around $30 or so. Probably more than it's really worth, but it's a luxury item so you just have to write it off.

Proraso splash is nice but I wouldnt buy again if that makes sense. I prefer my Speick and Musgo Real over it personally. I really wish the scent matched the SC. Its nice but nothing super. LaToja is also a much better choice with a much better scent.

+1 to many of the the posts above. Super lather will sell you samples of many diferent splashes, including the Proraso. If you like it, they sell Proraso in a huge 400 ml bottle (most splashes come @ 100 ml) for $36, so price wise, for this size bottle, it's not to bad.

I really like Proaso, Blue Floid, Speick, Alt Inssbruck, TaToga, etc. :D

As for the balm, i've not tried it, but would like to.

    The Proraso balm is overpriced

I'm not saying it's a bad balm, but Nivea Sensitive and L'Oreal Balm are as good if not better and you get the same amount for 1/2 price

    Of course YMMV

I have tried both the balm and splash, and both are very good. I agree that you can pick up similar balms from other companies a bit cheaper. However, the splash is more unique based on its scent. If you have to pick one, go with the splash.

I love the Proraso balm. Have the splash but haven't tried it yet. Also, I tend to be a little spazzy and I only use the Proraso post shave treatments when I use the Proraso cream or soap. I feel like they work better as a team.

I have the Proraso balm and really like it. I too would like to try splash, but am reluctant to spend 36 clams on something I have never smelled before.(400ml bottle)

I see you are looking at superlather.com. Two words of advice. He does sell decants so you can try it out frst. Also, Connaught's has the more common size of 100ml for about 14 USD.

Thanks Scott. I see he sells decants, but the 400ml is cooler. :D

There's a problem with ordeing a bunch of decants,,,,, after you receive the samples and try them, it's like ASAD kicks into high gear and before you know it you have about 1200ml of various AS on order,,,, not that that's a bad thing ;)

I use both and like them. I'll be repurchasing after they're used up.

I got a chuckle out of that! You aren't the first person to say that either. As I've mentioned before the reason I do the decants is so you and your wife or girlfriend know exactly what you are getting before you spend 30 or more dollars on the bottle. Thanks Moe to for mentioning that when you consider the amount you are getting and assuming you like the product, the 300ml and 400ml bottles I sell are a really good deal. To say nothing of the fact that you can't pick these items up at your local Wal-Mart.
