I know YMMV but I got one of the best shaves this morning with the Treet Blue Special in my 1947 SS. Sharp and smooth with no irritation even with a near BBS on my neck.

I like the Treet blue. You just have to accept the fact that it is not gonna feel the same as a coated stainless blade. If you can get over that you can then proceed to some fine shaves. I have found that this blade is non-irritating and will not nick me even if I get a little careless. It also depends a lot on which razor you use it in. I like it in an adjustable set low.

To those of you who like them, I suggest you stock up. There are not that many places that have them in stock any more. Connaughtshaving is having a sale on them at the moment. Although I think I purchased the very last 400 of them. You better check with Paul.

I actually just tried my first one in my bar handle NEW.
I've had two decent shaves with it so far.
I should probably try the next one in a more aggressive setup.

After my second have today, I'll have to admit that they are a one shave wonder for me. I even dunked mine in 91% rubbing alcohol to disperse the water. My second shave was average. But they will make a very good travel blade for one per day use.

I squeezed a third shave out of mine today.
I've been hitting it with alcohol when I'm done and it's worked alright, but today was definitely the last.

The Treet Classic Durasharp is the same carbon steel blade as the Special, only coated to prevent rust.

If you mean the one in the yellow & white wrapper, I do not agree.
It may be the same steel, but one of those blades left rust marks inside the head of my Bull Mastiff.
They cleaned out with a little CLR and some effort, but I'm disinclined to use them in my three-piece razors from now on.
The Blue I was using in the NEW rusted a little, but it didn't seem to be as bad as the Durasharp. Although, this could be a result of how the blade fits in the head of the NEW vs. how it fits in the head of the Old style.
