Lemons and Lemonade Razor: C3 Ball End Tech Blade: Feather (1) Cream: Crabtree & Evelyn/Tom's of Maine Mint Brush: Tweezerman A/S: C.O. Bigelow Rose Water Skin Toner/AV Ice Blue Lemons: The C&E was a big disappointment. No matter what I tried, I could not get any kind of lather out of it. It didn't take in the bowl, it wouldn't do a thing with a face lather. Lemonade: After laying down a thin layer on the face and beating it to death in the bowl, I noticed a very nice cooling feeling. After about five minutes of frustration, I took what I could on the brush, added some Tom's of Maine Mint, and got an excellent lather that was nice and frosty the entire shave. The only thing I need to say about the Tech: With a Feather, it's almost perfect. The Rose Water stuff was very refreshing with an excellent scent to it. After letting it sit, I went with the standard AV Ice Blue splash follow up and kind of regret it. The Rose Water scent is just excellent. It was a little pricey, but worth it now that I've experienced it.

Did have some trouble with the head. Sunburn you know. Tough to shave when it really hurts so I just did the back and sides on one pass only. The "Dana" brush works great with the creams. It is the floppiest boar I have ever seen. Almost like a badger brush.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep: Shavemac 22mm silvertip 1919 Bulldog/ Iridium MWF Lucky Tiger AS i Profumi di Firenze 'Legno Amaro' EdT This morning was my last time using this razor for a looong while. I have to say I can't remember ever getting a closer shave with any other razor, and I love that part. It's also a kick to truly use zero pressure to have those results, which I'm unable to get with my normal razor of choice. I can go over a tough spot on my neck or chin 2-3 times in the same direction with my fatboy/feather set up, and still not get as close as one stroke with this Bulldog type. The thing is amazingly effective....plain and simple. Yeah, it's great, except that I prefer not to feel the blade at all while shaving. I shave mostly by sound rather than feel........the less the actual razor feedback the better for me. Weird eh? Yeah, I just don't care to actually be aware of a blade being in the razor at all. I sure feel the blade in the Bulldog.........sigh. Anyway, it was still fun using this razor, and will revisit again sometime....maybe try a different(milder) blade. No damage done to my face, and I realize my technique is probably pretty decent to avoid any unpleasantness. This would NOT be a good razor for a new DE shaver. BBS results, Martin
