Any good authors writing action/adventure novels this summer? My favorites thus far are Brad Thor and Clive Cussler.

I heard the long awaited Tom Clancy book is supposed to come out in August!! It would be GREAT if it halfway measured up to my expectaions.

    Here's to hopin...

If you like action/adventure books. Try Matthew Reilly, his Scarecrow books are along the lines of Clive Cussler's, Dirk Pitt books. Kinda bigger-than-life, candy for the brain type books. Good beach fare

Will look into Matthew Reilly, anything along the lines of Clancy and Brad Thor?

I can't read Cussler anymore, haven't for a long time. I know their just stories, but sometimes his storiers are just tooooooo unrealistic, for my tastes.

    I am a Clancy fan.

I have been told that Clancy is no longer writing anything, hence the use of the series novels which are written by others with Clancy's name put on the cover for sales purposes.

Sorry for the delay the past few days have been CRAZY with work.

I don't know that I would classify Reilly with Clancy. Not nearly as realistic. He's more like a "James Bond movie" kinda book. If that makes sense....constant action, full of "nick of time" moments...

He's a LOT closer to Cussler than Clancy.

I've been reading a lot of Robert Parker. Everyone knows him from Spencer (fine books), but I really LOVE the Jessie Stone novels. Pert good tv movies with Tom Selleck in the lead role, also.

And, ANYTHING by Elmore Leonard is GREAT!!
